Edited by: XenoPagan on 03/07/2007 12:01:07 Unseen Evil 2 aka Alien 3000 I havent seen the first one and thank gods for that! very camp piece of cinematography. I only watched it because I was drunk and that made me laugh instead crying.
can't think of any other movies right now... maybe these damn movies they show on every channel five times a year- Police Academy, Home Alone etc
oh, and Starship Troopers ROCKED :) (second was rubbish tho) If you didn't like it you probably didn't watch it right.

Ice Cream Man!
Dude, I saw that movie during a late night once, I remember laughing so hard. It was so bad it was laughable.
Cliff Howard as a homicidal/psychotic ice cream man, who's home blend has secret ingredients, composed of young children. Lee Majors and Jan-Michael Vincent for starring roles. Throw in mischevious, curious kids and how can you go wrong?

O Brother, Where Art Thou? I have to say is long, and that may be its main downfall, but its fairly good when you understand the varous symbolism and stories they had in the movie.
Oceans 12, yeah, that movie just bit. I thought Oceans 11 was long in itself, I cringe for what Oceans 13 will be like.

without a doubt "Dracula 3000" tops about everything... Big Hauler in space transporting coffins to the transylvania galaxy... and oh noes there is vampires in the coffins... crew gets vampirized one by one and at the grand final (the crew managed to set the course of the ship to pass near a sun and built a great trap for dracula at the observation deck the movie zooms outside the ship and *BOOOM* the ship explodes without any reason...

Heh, I'm probably just a bit thick. My wife is the literary one!
They're coming back to me now:
Being John Malkovich Ronin Kill Bill
The first two I've tried to watch 3 or 4 times each, without success. I just can't sit all the way through them.

Starship Troopers (either movie) is so bad that just having the DVD in your home ups your chances of cancer a thousand-fold.
if your lucky you might slip while cutting open the box and bleed out before you can watch it.
also.. Battlefield Earth. went into it knowing I would be disappointed, but I could have never expected That.. that.. disaster.
gotta make a post against the Sky Captain haters.. they just dont get it.

mmm worse movies... without any reason for the order:
The grudge 1 & 2, the master of disguise, sunshine, daylight, the6th day, end of days, rambo (2 and onwards, first 1 rocked :D ), the village, unbreakable, 12 monkeys, timecope, bourne supremacy, mission impossible 1&2, point blank (sorry but the acting is the worse ever :D ),population 436, nightmare on elm street 7, police academy 7, snake on a plane..
I'm sure I could think of a few others... but lunchtime is coming - nothing will stand between me and food! -------------------------------------------------- No trees were killed in the sending of this message. Chopper was great though, so you can have a point back for that!
I thought Chopper was a rubbish before I saw it - my brother convinced me to watch it and I returned the DVD to him as a suppository
2 movies standing out in my mind at the moment Cache was so boring I nearly wet myself, it hinted a few times at a subtext to the story but only enough to make me go do some lvl 4 missions instead
Man bites dog another very bizarre movie with a documentary crew following a serial killer - I never made it the whole way through

Oh dear lord they made a second one?
I'll never forget the scene in the first one with the guy staring at his dead dog then he does this stiff turn towards the camera and quotes "the only good bug is a dead bug". Just the way the whole scene played out made me laugh for days everytime it crossed my mind.
I watched it as a parody and it was great :). I guess it all depends on POV.

Edited by: Red Crown on 05/07/2007 17:12:26 The movie "Flyboys" was awful and almost completely predictable, not to mention totally immpossible.
Great scenes -
The star, in his WWI Biplane, flies behind enemy lines to rescue his girlfriend and her siblings. He lands the plane, gets out and flies them back with Germans shooting at them.
In one air-fight scene, his wingman is shotdown, and crashlands his plane in the middle of the no man's land. Hearing his friend moan in pain from 1000Ft up, our hero lands his airplane in the battlefield, runs to and saves his friend.
You get the idea.

Starship troopers the movie is somewhat of a parody of the book which has been critizied for being: Militaristic, Fanactical, Racist, Utopia supportive. Soooooo, yeah...

Man Bites Dog is terrific. Not only blackly funny but visionary as it was made many years before the whole reality TV craze took off.
Can't believe people are putting Kill Bill in this list... okay I admit Uma is annoying and you kinda wished that girl with the ball and chain split her head open in the first film, but it's still a good double feature...
And the first Starship Troopers is cool, but you have to read between the lines a bit to get the most out of it. Probably the most clever anti-war film ever made.
Okay, bad films:
There are several bad films out there, lots of obscure z-grade stuff I could name obviously, but just sticking to films with big budgets here, that maybe COULD have been better:
Battlefield Earth - hahahahahilarious, note that every shot in this film is on an angle! Every single one! It's like the cinematographer took some amateur film course that said "to create tension, try placing some shots with the horizon on an angle" so he did it for EVERY SINGLE SHOT. Argh. There are plenty of other reasons why this film is crap, but that's one of them. Oh, yeah...erm, hail Xenu.
Armageddon - more terrible cinematography. The camera never stops moving, and there's barely a cut more than 2 seconds long in the entire thing. Should have a seizure warning or something like computer games do. Plus is pathetic Hollywood crud but then, you knew that.
From Dusk Till Dawn - brilliant for the first half (obviously the bit Tarantino was responsible for the scripting of), then it turns into an incredibly lame, stupid, cliched zombie film. There are good zombie films but this is not one of them. I was expecting big things from this. Not the worst film ever made but certainly the most dissapointing, at least for me.
Waking Life - I don't think I've seen anything more boring, ever. I also don't think I've been so visually amazed and bored at the same time. Oh hang on, yes I have. Most computer games these days are all about prettiness with virtually no sensible content. Just like this film.
There's more, but those are the ones that spring to mind.

I have not as yet seen the latest version, but if it is anything like the book and people are flaming it here (based on plotline, not acting) then I feel sorry for you for you really have not heard or read the original.
The original is a stunning musical masterpiece. I want to hear it again now... ----------------------------

house of 1000 corpses: the sequel, devil's rejects was even worse!
how the f*** could they even rate it R, it's so gory and praises criminals it should be banned!
hmm lets see
manos the hands of fate was an obligatory mention, i watched it because it was consistantly touted as the worst movie ever made.
after i watched that i contemplated on where you draw the line between recordings of dumb***es and semi-professional acting in a script.
i'm still not sure but they definitely crossed the line.
IMDB hall of infamy: http://www.imdb.com/chart/bottom
i'd probably have to mention the meatballs sequels, along with other horrific crap from the 80s like porky's etc.
as has been mentioned, many modern movies (last 5 years) have been catering to the lowest common denominator, with many eve players mentioning it was "insult to intelligence"
