I was not trying to "highjack" anything. The lag was horrendous all I did was state facts. Pls Dognutz lets agree to disagree for the sake of the thread if you wish to start another thread and I will happily argue with you there. Sensor boosters took 20 secs to activate....targets acquired from 50 to 90 secs. Modules activated - 40-50% success after 30 from first key press. Only 2 of 8 weapons ports actually started to fire. 75% of ew modules activated.

CCP - Please can you just fix this lag problem already. You've saying you working on fixes, we've had GM's in Fountain all week, yet we've got no extra support.

I'll keep it simple. CCP fix the lag issues so large battles require more skill then just click and hope something happens.

meanwhile u cant have a fleet without 2000 ships appearing inside your own or not being able to get 20 people into ONE gang for 2.5 hours of trying, or half your guys getting stuck entering space for 6 hours.
Oh and then u DO get into battle and 2000 more ships appear inside yours, half the enemy fleet and your fleet dissapears, several people on both sides get stuck behind a grid, modules take 20 minutes to activate, locking up ships takes 2 hours, your right click menu stops working, half your guys ctd and lag out and cant get back in, people who arrive late at the fight have to wait 3000 hours whilst getting shot at before they can see anything...
but hey yeah, add some stupid captuarble stations n junk liek that, im sure EVERYONE will love u then...
pls fix your game so that it does what it says on the tin, ie mmo (curently the only thing massive about it is the lag)

I couldn't even get into the damn system. I gave up after being stuck between the Z30/YZ gate and logged.
The lag needs sorting out now.

For the record, when I warped away I had 62% armour and a few scratches on my structure. Ive come a lot closer to death before.....

need to say more it was one big messy Lag fest modules didn't show what u where doing if u tried to warp out it took 2-3 mins to respond and after the battle was over i heard missiles drop in while about 3-5 mins after the last one fired his missiles

I was lucky and could lock the 3 first ships I saw and activate weapons and warp jammer on one of them, after he went down I had to wait for about 1 minute b4 shooting at the next ship.
After my shields started to drop it took me about 40 sec to activate warp and when I warped out I tried to load my weapons but had to wait stupid amounts of time for each weapon to load ammo.
I warped back in even though I could not boost my shields or even reload half of my weapons it took me over 2 minutes to load up the ships still at the station.
So basicly this sucked bad and I bet it was even worse for the attacking FA forces, but at least now you know how we feel when we warp in on you 
I think the lag is not client based since the transfer rate on the date sent back and forth is capped, and when dozens of ships are shooting at each other and everyone is moving it is just to much data to send to you, needs to be fixed ASAP since this is what most peaple are playing the game, for big fights. Tibor and Zap,
Sorry for over estimating but I was sure I saw two ships explode. Could have been the same ship exploding twice with that Lag. That was absolutely dreadful.
Also, I did not realise that Pu55YCat was not a member of Moo. Or part of your gang. Funny how he was in the same space and fighting on your team. I personally would take that was one of yours. (Take the hit it would make me feel better :)

Having arrived at the gate with two others I was only able to target and lock the people whom had locked me as I became lockable after warp. I did see my guns active and the shield booster that saved me light up. When it became appearent that the lag was going to get me fried, I intiatated warp using the sun as hud icon it took the request several tries before finally accepting and almost two minutes to actually go to warp. Even after exiting the area around the gate I could n't bring up any windows like people and places for several minutes. The real ****er it that it was a terrific battle in the making and because of the horrific lag it could not be played out. Both of the warring groups have been very carefull about no drones out, and this has been observed by both parties. I believe that the amount of paying memebers of Eve many with multiple accounts and we have to play under these condisions is a very poor service to loyal customers. I have serious doubts about CCP's ability to handle a player load of 10,000 players when a 100 can jam up a node that bad.

and this is what happens when you host a volume-intensive game on a bunch of small cheap servers.
the only way to beat this is to buy bigger, more reliable servers. But they cost real money.
Wintel is not suited for high-volume. It's why freakin' mainframes are still around.

I spoke to a GM about it the other day and basicly as I understand it. Systems that are considered to have heavy player loads such as Yulai have only a few systems to a node - where as regions such as fountain and curse have one node for the whole region. What were asking is that in situations when CCP KNOW (and its been hard to miss the fact at the moment) that a lot of ships on 2 sides are hanging around an area, they they maybe move the systems to a single node. Also - I tried to contact a GM before the battle so as to get one in as an observer (again after being asked last time I complained about the lag) - I tried Help channel and there was none avalible. Maybe someone can let us know HOW we are meant to do this.

The whole affair was sickening for all parties. As an attacker it took MINUTES to load at warp in. When I did lock people mod activation was some slow motion event.
Ok, now I shot 5 torps per launcher........ah, reload, sorry that must happen after down time. Shields failing..warp and recharged and return.......ah, "something is scrambling something".......no ships or objects insight except for the station. However, "something is scrambling something" again...I wait 2 minutes (egg timer). Then can not afford the risk of staying...warp out. Sadden, that could of been, what should of been, what is not nor can we expect it to be-- a multi-player fighting game.
EVE is a love hate relationship......the more I fight fleet battles the more I hate it.

CCP please fix the lag. The first time I warped into the battle, my auto scanner didn't work at all. I could see the ships in space so I moused over them to pick a target. Then it took a couple of minutes to activate my modules. Someone on our side said to warp out, then almost immediate said to warp back in, which I did. It was funny the second time I warped in. I couldn't see a single ship, but I knew they were there. I litterally flew around the station without seeing anything. That's when the order to warp out came again, ending the battle. For about 10 minutes afterwards I heard missile fire. I had to relog to get rid of the sound. I also saw the, "Something is scrambling something," messages the second time I warped in. It was a little comical. Nobody on either side used any drones.
I have to admit that it was the biggest battle I have been in. I counted 17 ships of m0o and their allies. Our side had around 18 combat ships. It could have been a decisive battle in the Fountain Region. Instead it became a Lag Monster battle.
I think that everyone that lost a ship in the battle should get them back. Please note that I didn't lose a ship, this time. I have lost some and have yet to file a petition over it too.
It's definitely not my computer too. I have a 2.5GHz computer, 512Mb of RAM and a 128MB Geforce video card. I also have a cable modem.
Also, while you're fixing things, there's a grid problem around the DQ gate in the YZ-LQL system. I was orbiting the gate at 20k the other day when I ended up in a grid. That's just plain too close.
I really like this game. If you could fix the lag problem, then I'd be grateful.

I think server stability has nosedived last few weeks. 17 v 17 isin't really all that huge. I've been in 40-v40 in curse, and yes, lag was really bad, but 17v17 shouldn't be insane as described. I've really seen a recent increase in lag. Evolution..... Just when you thought you were winning.

there were a lot more in that battle. i think it was at least 60 ships involved. -------------------------------------------

ccp is trying to promote big wars by the new alliance system.
this will not work if you can t have 20 ships defending a system!!!

this happened to my compleatly unarmed griffin... the station Blew it up... there was no pilot at the time.... is my scorpion next??? I would post my log.. but for some reason when I open them they say "game log Listener: AFLACK session started 08:58:34 " NOTHING ELSE!!!

undock... eject from frig re dock in pod... undock with Ibis watch your Griffen get blown up by sentry guns less then 2METERS away from you... just wanted an Ibis so i could give the griffen to a friend....
now if thats not Farked UP getting hit by missiles by people who are ... how do I explain this... 75k is the grid 110k is the other side of it and you can see the people on the other side there... YEAH thats just WRONG and NO I am not calling it a "grid exploit" just wrong... yes I reported this as a BUG...
