Although if they are sorting the overview alphabetically and running down the list it doesn't matter what your name is. They'll get to you sooner or later.

The above was more of a joke, as many "what order of primary?" questions tend to boil down to "how can I participate in group activities while shifting most of the risk associated with the activity to my gang mates?" This was my attempt at self-deprecating humor ... I haven't had a lot of experience where primary targets are being called, but I've had FC's skip over targets for unpronounceability (at least in english). Regarding to the OP's question on faction BS, many "fleet fights" occur at range where the FC can tell you're a BS but doesn't have time to tell what kind. You likely wouldn't get called primary for bringing a faction BS, but it'd be silly because you're focus firing so your individual damage and tank don't matter as much and you're exposing yourself to huge financial liability relative to (say) an insured arty tempest. In closer range, smaller gang fights faction BS are normally set up to tank pretty well (faction/deadspace mods), so shooting other ships first makes sense. In target selection you're looking for the best ratio of damage dealt to enemy damage countered. Also, if you have numerical superiority you may be able to pin down the faction BS while its owner screams on his TS and disorganized reinforcements stream in one at a time, easy pickings for your waiting guns.

Yeah, my Remote Laughter Transfer appears to be offlined at the moment, my comment was a bit of a joke as well. And as to bringing a faction ship of any consequence to a fleet engagement... I believe they call that behavior "conspicuous consumption".

Most fleets just go for the top and work their way down, but I go on a ship-by-ship basis... Plus if I've been scouting ahead as well, I'll also check out the ages of players in a fleet and get rid of the older ones first... One thing I've noticed about some of the videos I've watched is it's always the same person's voice speaking... What happens if that person dies? So where are carriers in this list? Are they too valuable to bring to a fleet battle? How about interceptors? Are they considered EW ships? Do HACs come after battleships?
