I do sometimes try to get macrominers out of my system, have tryed to bump them out of system but it seems they sometimes have set theyre ship to fly bck to a roid theyre not mining. even at 400km from that roid it seems they still are able to approach that roid because they have allready from the beginning set the ship to do that.
If u guys can program the game so no player can approach at a distance over 150km it will give us real players a chance to fight these macroers out of our systems and out of game!!!
I know u guys are focusing mostly on taking those that buy stuff from macroers, but if u give us players any means fighting these guys i'm sure we togetter can get rid of many of the macroers that are turning this game more and more into a work place rather than a game..

they are probobly using a book mark to home in on or the centre of the belt which can be selected form the overview setting.
Some thing needs to be done, they are forcing honest miners to run mission to make a profit.

Eh, sorry for the noobish question, but how do you recognize a macrominer?

Macrominers can be recognized in many ways. 1) they don't respond to requests for convo. 2) They take no action of their own accord that can't be accomplished using in-game tools (such as returning to roids), 3) They often have nonsense names and are created around the same time.
The thing I wish CCP would do is introduce an anti-macro code in their game. Everquest had this IIRC. The reason I see them not doing this is because MMs reduce the price of minerals, which reduces the price of ships, which makes people more likely to PvP. That is what they want, after all.

Edited by: Verkieg on 03/07/2007 05:17:50 Oh, there is a anti-macro code? Ok, I'll keep bumping this thread until a dev sees it and gives an answer whether they will implement it, or explain why they would not be capable of doing so.

I foresee a great deal of bumping in your future. MM are central to EvE's economy. CCP can't just up and acknowledge it, but we need that trit and pyer to feed the furnaces of capital manufacturing in the post-revelations world. It's a complex system that's grown up with the crutch of macromining to lean on, and if you take that away, it'll reverberate through the entire game galaxy.

Oh, come on! Really? I think that if they do something about it and at the same improve the capacity of skilled miners to mine (maybe skills to increase the mining amount per cycle and/or lower the cycle time) people would go out mining a lot more, thus countering the effect of MM end. I have a good miner that is staying kinda idle because of the prices. I bet there are people out there like me that would go back to mining if the prices would be better.
