Well, I'm currently flying a Bellicose outfitted with enough firepower to totally own level 1 missions and it's also great at shield tanking, although I haven't figured out how to best outfit the low slots, but I digress as the main thing I need to figure out is where to go from here ship wise and the best way to do it. I was thinking of upgrading first to a rupture and then outfitting it for armor tanking with all of it's low slots, and then upgrading to a cyclone which I will fit similarly to how my bellicose is currently fitted and then after that going to the typhoon and finally getting the grand daddy of Minmitar Combat Vessels the Maelstrom. Now I need you guys to tell me what's good and not so good about my plan and also if you could, maybe some tips on how to get the money as I currently am stuck running level 1 missions and I'm mining, pirating, or mission running with my friend is the better choice.

Dunno really why you took Belly at all. Never seen anyone flying it :)
Get a rupture - if you got any skills at all lvl2 missions should come easy. Doing lvl1 in a cruiser is no fun whatsoever :) Then, yeah. If you like rupture you'll like Hurricane more than Cyclone.

Got the bellicose because I had 4.6 mil to spend, and I'd found one for the cheap price of 3.5 mil so I could fully outfit it, give some money to my friend and buy more skills as I had only about 850k skill points or as much as a noobie character would have if they were created post Revelations.

ok, the one bad thing about your plan is the swapping between tanks, you will want to concentrate your skills into either armour or shield tanking. that way you will be a lot better at it. of course you want to hit the maelstrom which is imo the strongest BS tank going, and obviously a shield tank at that. so i would recomend staying with the bellicose and using drones until you can buy a cyclone or getting a stabber and shield tank that, it wont be much of a tank BTW lol so you will be best off using its speed to keep out of range of targets while using arty to pick them off.
then with the cyclone, you will be able to move up to level 3 missions, but watch out with the cyclone on level 3, there are points in level 3's where you could easily get caught out and killed if your not careful. once your in the maelstrom you will have no trouble with level 3, but wait a bit till you go onto level 4, you will want to be tanking 500+ dps on all damage types indefinantly. once your over 600 dps you shouldnt have any trouble on lvl 4 missions either.

Basically what the previous poster said but yea, stick with 1 type of tank.
This means either beli > cyclone > tempest or mael and then divulging into t2 ships like jag, vaga, sleip.
Or Ruppy > Hurricane > Typhoon or tempest. There are not many t2 minny ships that are particulary great for armour tanking because of the resistnace holes.
