Here is some information to get started. http://techreport.com/etc/folding/ I was running it for a friend. But figured i would use the eve team that someone created even tho it didn't have a unit, invite everyone and beat his team

I used to run seti a couple of years ago. And actually got into the top 1000 in the uk. But it all changed and my account wouldn't upgrade to bionic. Also i figured if we actually found something we would either be blown up or have all our resources sucked up.

I missed that before. Wow nice machine, I could probably do something like that. We have alot of servers here that have bad caps. Wouldnt be to hard to fix the caps but alot of work :(

Any ideas on how to get more eve people to contribute?
Currently we have 18 members which is cool. And we are shooting up the team table. Should be in the top 5000 teams in around 20 days :).

Originally by: Fink Angel I just joined the team and my PC (P4 3.2 Ghz) is claiming an estimated time of 104 DAYS for the first unit, whereas my PS3 seems to think it can do a unit in 7 HOURS.
Surely the PS3 isn't that much faster at this?
Shame I still don't run our company's 30 machine render farm, otherwise we could have a nice little boost to the team stats in quiet time when it wasn't rendering!
If you just have the one core which i guess you do. While playing eve you will not have much spare cpu cycles left. So the folding will take much longer while you play eve or do other cpu intensive tasks.
