In playing your part as human merchandise under CCP's carefully planned out RL profit-making scheme, ie:
-PLEX. -Bots. -Limitless alt system.
Im curious, does CCP maintain a scpecific horde of players ingame farming Plex for them which they sell back to their playerbase?
Isn't this entire circle, at the same time detrimental to the game and its playerbase as ingame prices rise and 0.0 alt corps take over entire regions, blobing with 30+ capfleets and Titan bridges every single time...
Hmm? Where is this all really going CCP? To make as much pride in money before planet earth burns to a crisp from our mutual contempt, greed and stupidity?
So, let us make this thread the official congratulate CCP on their ruthless and cynical attitudes to life, like the good ponzies they are.

Is that code for something? It's tough to keep up with you kids and your newfangled jargon these days. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the ho's and politicians will look up and shout 'Save us!' and I'll look down, and whisper 'no.' |

Unless I see evidence of Eve's server infrastructre and CCP company expenses requiring that specific profit-making scheme to keep running, I'll remain with the ponzi-scheme. |

Of course.
I don't feel the need to have 10+ accounts to be good, Alara is fine. I am good just shooting folks with my space guns without a ton of duel boxes to make me "good" at the game.
I don't have to farm up Plex, I decide when I play and when I don't.
If $15 is to much for you is kinda sad.
Goe Rilla wrote: but they have you by the balls haven't they?
Yes they have the awesome power to make me stop paying and go play another game at anytime. |

Multiply that ammount by active subscribers per year. Add it to legal realmoney Plex buyers per year. Add it to unofficial realmoney Plex buyers per year.
Compare total ammount with CCP's annual expenses.
Just enough to keep Eve running whilst ingame prices rising?
Or just enough for obscene company profits.
You see and decide. Keep coming back and Good luck. |

You think this is a bad thing.
I play because I enjoy EVE. Do you not enjoy EVE?
If they want to profit of this game that is fine with me.
As long as they continue their new trend to fix broken mechanics which they are doin I am perfectly happy to enjoy EVE.
If they fail to to so I will quit.
If you see deeper meaning in this then feel free to leave as I did after Incarna.

I do enjoy Eve, and CCP knows it above all. They made it so it would be an enjoyable, complex and longlasting experience, whilst in the meantime, they use you and treat you like oil merchandise to fund private gains, which you end up paying for with your time and money. You think they gave a **** about you from the begining? Hell no, this is capital and for as long as you play their game, you willingly subject yourself to a tyranny which you weren't fully aware of originally. |

Of course not they are a business. Do you demand a hug from every store clerk? If the product does not meet the quality of fun I demand they find out how little a **** I give about them. They are just entertainment.
Their is no problem here. Make the game fun and I will pay them. Don't do that and I won't. Not going to expect them to play happy grab ass with me while they do it. |

It is the fact that not only does the clerk take the money from you, he uses the fact that many like you use his service to bring even more money in implicitly whilst condemning it publically at the same time.

You will get no argument from me on that specific concept, I all but predicted as much a few years ago in the old forums, and railed at CCP for buying Whitewolf, and trying to build 3 games making us the paying beta testers for one of them using the revenue of just EVE subscribers.
But, they finally learned maybe, the hard way. We'll see what they do vs what they say they will do.

Pfft they don't need people farming PLEXes, they just need players dumb enough to fly them in a cargo to anywhere.
And btw if you were to consider the size of CCP, give each one of them a salary, and then you apply all of the other costs for offices, utilities, and the costs of running the servers and hosing special events, CCP really does have a fairly tight budget.
$15 x 12 months x 300,000 accounts = $54 million annually 580 ppl x $80k yearly salary on avg = $46.4 million annually that's only 7.6 million to spend on things like Fanfest, hosting alliance tournament, super interwebz bandwidth, offices and utilities for said offices in 4 locations around the globe, server maintenance and upgrades, etc etc
And that's AFTER the 20% layoff, so CCP is running tight

I heard they're on a tight budget, but from subs revenue only.
One REALLY wonders where all that money to fund so many other projects simultaneously could've come from...
Knowing player to player Plex mechanics in Eve, sub revenues can only be the tip of the iceberg. |

Yea, that's just subs.
And we both know the Plex market's real value next to it. But it's all hushhush. I forsee impending threadlock, should angry whistleblowers bring in some VERY inconvenient numbers... |
