Originally by: Aaron Mirrorsaver that being said, I sympathize with the OP, and Frege sucks anyway. Everyone is so paranoid about this and that and spies and blah blah now, no one can be fair to no one no more, the slight suspicion he's a spy and you treat him like crap. if you have suspicion and no proof, move his stuff out problem solved.
If you had cared to read the thread, you would have seen that such provisions were offered before the OP exploded and basically cussed everyone out. Since the OP's outburst, the offer has been retracted and the goods have been offered to be purchased at a 5% markup of Jita. So, FREGE has offered what you stated they should, but the OP's unnecessary outburst resulted in the offer being retracted. Here it is. Isn't it unique? |

He's holding you hostage! You have no choice! You really hate to do it this way.... but in this situation you must protect yourself from "one" pilot!
Hyperbole, thy name is defeat!
Why should someone who has made threats against the alliance be allowed in alliance space? Here it is. Isn't it unique? |

If I were the OP, after the treatment he was given, I'd join BOB, right freaking now, and hand them this juicy alliance with any information he has.
Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. If he was "suspected" any sane government would keep very close tabs on him... short leash... but oh so close.
No this is a case of an incompetent 0.0 government.
Look at what he is being accused of:
1. He's "suspected" of being a spy: Great- but they have no proof.
2. He used the "F-Bomb": Ok he got angry and went off. Big deal.
FREGE is apparently a bunch of slaptards. When BOB comes for them- they'll just roll over and start kicking each other out for spying.
What a country!
From what I have seen and heard, it is kick first ask questions later in 0.0. Information is valuable. Thus, if you suspect someone is spying on all of your comms, best to remove them ASAP.
As for the exploding, it was not necessary and included a threat. Does any real world national government allow people who openly threaten them to waltz through the front door?
I see DNS acting with paranoia, but from things I have seen, it was to an appropriate reaction to the suspicion. Here it is. Isn't it unique? |

Originally by: Pelf Matagraph You miss the point:
1. You kicked a "spy". Whether or not he *is* a spy doesn't matter- his information will be used against you.... NOW
2. You named terms for his personal assets. Were he a spy he wouldn't have had assets of consequence, and probably would have not made a peep.
3. YOU (*******!) took the bait by responding to his post, defending your alliance to the last. (Which by the way opens you up to criticism.)
4. You attack the messenger with the whole "He posts as an alt" garbage.
You aren't effectively governing at all.
Advice: Shutup and run your alliance.
Out of curiosity, why defend this one instance of such so vehemently? What about all the other people that were booted from a corp and lost stuff in 0.0? What about all the people who lost stuff to their station being conquered? What makes this one special? That they were a suspected spy? How is kicking someone you don't trust different from kicking someone that you don't like or that is intentionally offensive against corp rules? Here it is. Isn't it unique? |

If you do not like the guy, fine give him his stuff back(he probably wasted a lot of time to acquire it), and simply blast him to hell if you ever see him again.
Also try to remember that you are in a video game.
Since this game is competitive, you wish to beat others. They use spies. Therefore, you must account for this. How is this paranoia not playing the game? Is it going against your idea of what the game should be where everyone can trust everyone else and not tell their competitors all their secrets? Here it is. Isn't it unique? |
