At time of this comment the api is unavailable. You are not handling this event cleanly. also still get the loading graphic for journal even after its loaded.
by the way... I do love this little thing.
used to have EVEMon open 24/7 and now I only open it when I want to plan my skills out or find out the next skill.

EveMon is telling me i finished skill training... where in reality i have 3 days left on one account and 22 hour on another :) Just saying this to show that when there is no data, things can go bad.
Anyhow am more interested in the other issue, the loading thingy that gets stuck... I am not able to reproduce it... so if you can tell me when it happens? always?

Danag, i did look into it at a moment and to my surprise there was to big a compatibility issue with google descktop... so for the moment the answer is no...

Well it is default set to reset messages and when you uncheck the "reset" and click the "X" on the message.. it will appear next time you see the page or push refresh...
I hope the state is saved remotely, since I find the message annoying so far.. not the text, just the feature. Sure I can live with it if it works to press "X" and it stays away from my iGoogle at work AND at home.

loading thingy is happening in ie7
don't know about firefox or opera or ie6

@RaTTus hate to say it mate, but can u take a look at ur gmt offset? (am sure u already did so, but please do again being 1 hour off sure sound like an offset thing)
@Rolschau if you are using the same google account you will see the changes at your home and work also (settings are stored on google) you should not bother with the reset thingy only if you want your messages back. Just x them out and they should be gone for good (that particular message, in case there is a new message in the queue you will get the new one but not the old).
@Sky Grunthor is that iMonitor or iCEO? and wallet or journal? (corp or personal? :P )

Hi Althea!
The Isk balance it's reporting on the Training Monitor isn't the same that's in the XML I get from clicking on my name. Is there some sort of caching happening on the gadget? This happens on both IE7 and FF if that makes any difference.

@Shin Ra you can not set it up one gadget for multiple accounts but you can re-add the same gadget n times to your google page and each of them will get separate keys (accounts)
Vess my good old man, how's life? What do you mean not the same? If you hit refresh you get the good one? The thing is it get's read at refresh, while clicking on the link you get the "up to date" xml so there could be some diffs... or are you getting something totally diffrent?

I did a refresh several times, including the Shift-F5 and Ctrl-F5 in the browsers but it was still reporting a lower amount in the monitor than it did in the XML. Even after closing the browsers and restarting. Anyhoo, I checked it and it all seems to be fine this morning so not sure what happened - probably some small timing diff like you said!

1 hour diffrence should be ok, if you are getting bigger diffrence then there would be a problem... looked at it, haven't seen any obviouse issue...

Oh man, i see your issue (in fact multiple)
Sorry I have not been touching the compact version for some time...
Lemme fix some things in it, i'll let you know when done (and yes it's a gmt issue, it's just that u lack the settings button :p )

First of all, kudos on creating a great and useful tool! I have an instance for every one of my characters. :-)
I have one question: Is there a way to force a portrait update within the widget? I added a new character a few days ago and the portrait is consistently the exclamation point placeholder instead of the characters actual portrait. (Which apparently is happening here in the forums as well...)

Sorry but u can do nothing about the (!). There is a dev post somewhere arround saying the image servers went borked and have stoped generating new portraits...
So it will be there but who-knows-when a.k.a. soonÖ

I just tried putting iCEO on instead of the previous one I had, and it seems if I move the gadget, I have to delete it and install it again because it clears all my info, and the textboxes are no longer something I can paste into.

The issue is that the user settings are saved in an asyncronious mode  meaning once u save, it will take some time for them to actually be saved and reflected...
So what u can do, is put your data after you have moved the gadget, or move the gadget after you have saved and refreshed the page to make sure ur settings show up.

I tried what you said, and nothing seemed to work. I got frustrated and just deleted it to go back to the original client. It started doing the same thing.
No clue what the issue was, but after a number of hours I tried again, and everything worked exactly like I would have expected. Perhaps there was some network issue or google issue...

hm actually now that i think of there has been some discussions on the google forums about gadgets freezing but only in case where you have hundreds of gadget on your page...
if it's not ur case, then i'd say prolly there was a google issue at that point in time... you could always try again to put the iCEO on (u don;t need to delete the other, u can have both)

Is there any way to get access to orders information with the API? I use the iCEO which has a ton of great info, but the one thing I feel like it is missing is my buy and sell orders. Do you know if there are any parts of the API that will give info on my current buy and sell orders?

I just tried playing with your EvE iHelper, and I see that there is a market orders XML. I am actually shocked at how much info there really is from that strong key. Perhaps I need to try my hand at this API thing to create a custom tracker for my industry jobs and market orders so I can manage my business without having to leave eve running 23/7.

Yep, there is a lot of info available.
For my defence, i'll say that all that has been put in place after trinity :)
So i had not much time to work with most of the new api as i've been havily coding something that shall go live in about a weeks time :p
I will give it a tought for the sell / buy orders.

I demand that you retract your defense. You have created multiple spectacular tools, and there is no reason to defend what features are in it.
I am a programmer so I understand the constant flow of possible new features that become available every time you release new versions of code  I eagerly await your new something and if you do decide to put the market orders in the iCEO, I look forward to that too
