Market Orders is technically done for the iMonitor (will be ported to iCEO later on) But right now i've ran into the issue that since i'm not a trader type, I have difficulties deciding what info should be emphasized, what would be the best formatting?
So please feel free to give ideas...

really great tool, keep going.
little add-in idea, it would cool if you could add the API Acces Logs link to your iHelper But I am not sure you can acces it using the userID=xxxx&apiKey=xxx technique ------ COLSUP

Edited by: Althea Nar''agh on 27/02/2008 11:41:29 iMonitor got a new tab containing your market orders (buy and sell). The usual color-coding has been followed as in: red for buy and green for sell. A black color will show orders that are not active (cancelled, expired, fulfilled, etc) At the top of the table you have a grand total section showing some basic aggregated data. I'm not a trader myself; so if you have any feedback as in what data should be stressed more, please let me know.
iCEO will get the same tab soonÖ (after initial feedback is thought over and eventual changes are carried out) at corporate level. Enjoy :p
iHelper got a new link under the settings section for access logs. This works the same way as the "get your api key" link, as in it will not link you directly to a character / account but will take you the eve-online page. If you are logged into your account it will show up, if not you'll have to log in to eve-o.
Please allow the usual ~1 hour for changes to reflect on your gadgets.

You can see my email on the gadget detail page.
Click the little arrow pointing downwards on the gadget header, you will see a dropdown menu. Click on "about this gadget"
You will see my email on that page.

Awesome!
Noticed a small type in "Grand Total" behind the percantage of ISK received out of the total receivable. You spelt it "Recived".
Excellent tool! ---

Great tool (iMonitor)and it worked yesterday like a charm. Today however the market orders tab doesnt show anything. Was there a hidden change from EVE? Or is it a bug in iMonitor.

I have to re-enter my user id and api key eachtime i open igoogle. Even if i leave the browser open for an hour the details disapear and i have to re-enter again. I have clciked the save button etc each time. Is this supposed to happen or am i doing something wrong ?
Apart from that little issue, the tools are awesome, great work. Fishweasel http://www.c6-eve.com/shep/fishweasel.jpg

Hm that is strange... make sure you are logged in to iGoogle (with your gmail account) before adding the gadget and saving the api id / key.

Is there any reason why you have changed the training monitor to only work with a strong api instead of just the limited?
You can understand people's concern about entering the strong api into any 3rd party software and I'm pretty sure CCP would discourage such a thing.
It was working fine for me with just the limited api - why change it?

Edited by: Althea Nar''agh on 07/04/2008 11:03:31 Today, all gadgets have had their time and date translated to local time.
What this means that before only the training time was converted to local time to give exact training completion times. Any other dates were left in ETZ (like market transaction date times)
Now all date times should be translated to your local time zone.

ETA: Thu, Apr 10, 2008 8:25:01 (GMT + 1) (2008-04-10 07:25:01 - EvE Time )
For some odd reason, EvE time is off with 1 hour. 7:00am EvE time is 9:00am CET (GMT+1). We changed our time to summer (+1 hour) time one week ago. EvE time didn't change. --------------------------------------------- Skill is not a spec, nor on timer. |

Iceland (where CCP is based on) doesn't use daylight saving time, while the rest of Europe does. The rules can be somewhat complex, so you might want to check whether the Google Gadget API can do the conversion for you.

EVE time is Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) (effectively UTC, although timezone pedants will tell you otherwise). GMT/UTC doesn't have summer time, so never jumps forward or back. This is particularly irritating for those of us who live in GMT in the winter months, and start missing appointments when we forget that the clock in Eve is one hour out in summer, but is a good decision on CCP's start, since it avoids any problems with planning ops in Alliances which cross multiple timezones.

@Nieda and all who have TZ issues...
That is because you have saved a given TZ (+1 ?) what you should do, is get into the settings panel and delete your TZ setting (leave it blank) and hit save.
The gadget will see there is no TZ specified and will recalculate it correctly based on your Regional Settings.

Yup.. This worked for me...
Noticed things were an hour off. Went into the Gadget's settings and removed my TZ info, and wham, everything was back to displaying the correct information.
Thanks, Althea! :)

I did and then I got the following:
"No valid GMT offset given. Will use 1."
My training time is still off by one hour --------------------------------------------- Skill is not a spec, nor on timer. |

Hi Nieda,
That's very strange... Could you do it again pls, but make sure to close and re-open your browser prior...
The gadget will pick up your current TZ from computer settings... so eighter your settings are bad or it's the browser that is bugging (hence a restart of it might help)...
Worst case... put it manually to 2...

It is definitely a browser problem. I should look into it and perhaps erase some temp data. Works fine with Opera on the same machine.

Awesome tool and it gets better and better! Good job!
Would it be possible to have an Assets tab, too? It could be similar to Market orders, but it would list all asset locations and have dropdowns for the list of assets at that location. Maybe even listing contents of containers and ship fittings? I have seen it on one site, if you need help I could get you in contact with them (raadasul ok is magyarok :D).
And if you could link items to eve.coldfront.net item database, that would be the nonplusultra solution.
Okok, but I can dream, right? :D |
