Past two days, I've attempted to log onto Tranquility, but get this message:
Could not connect to the specified address. Odds are that you have not established an internet connection, the server isn't running, or the server address or port number was wrong.
Also, Status is Unknown once it takes awhile to check.
Obviously, I have internet connectivity, so I know that's not the problem.
So, what's the story? Has Tranquility been down for two days, or is there a different problem. I probably wouldn't be asking if not for the fact that training has completed.

I'm getting the same thing, before I can hit the connect bottom I have to wait until the server status has appeared, saying who many players are online. On top of this I'm getting constant drop out, msg: Lost connection to server. This is really getting on my nerves. I've already upgraded my router, just recently, but still this keeps up.

Something is very wrong with the server at the moment. I can connect but it fails at the character selection screen. I was also logged due to lag about an hour ago.

I was having this issue also. I tracked it down to my DSL modem disconnecting and reconnecting approximately every 2 minutes. I got my ISP to do a port reset on my connection and things came right immediately. |

Looks like TQ just melted down. . .
Just got the reboot message for 10 minutes while trying to log in.
Edit: Good thing the Blood Raiders in Slavers don't warp scramble. . .

I have just had massive desync, four minutes to see any of my commands actually happen, and seeing things move the same 20 times over (ie seeing my drones returning to me only the next second back where they started).
My internet connection is fine, just now unable to log back in, being loading for 10 minutes now.
The nodes for myself and my alt just died, also was getting traffic advi messages before clients disconnected. Bet some1 is having a huge fleet battle, idoits lol.
Desync started an hour ago for me, cant log in now

So do they usually recompense people for stuff lost when this happens? Admittedly I'm only losing a few drones but I don't like losing 5 million worth of stuff from a server hitch. I'd be really ****ed if the mission I was on was capable of killing my ship.

If you lose something because of a server crash you can file a petition for 'reimbursement' with a killmail and they will reimburse, at least partially.

well u gotta admit that when there is a problem on the server they do try and find the problem str8 away, i mean under the amount of preassure its on with so many people that play this game (logging on and off etc) this happens fairly rarely and when it does i would hate to see the amount of pertitions that go in lol, i just hope they can find the problem and fix it soon GL :)
