I enter the new phone number in my paypal account, and they will not use that number becouse it is not secure? Then tell me to re-order so with the new number... Like its secure then??
The thing is: if Shatteredcrystal.com cancels my order and dos not refund the complete ammount, that is theft. As simple as that.
You all can order where you want.. Its just a warning what happend to me.

I've used them for quite a few GTCs. One phone call, and the codes arrived in seconds. They upgraded my account, and I now get my codes in seconds via PayPal.
Hate to say it, but read the fine print. User Error != Bad Company.

Thats there choice if they want to or not. Even if they want to call you every frigging time ...

You ordered it with the wrong number. They can only see the number that you entered when making the order. The number chance applies only to NEW orders. Which is the reason they told you to make a re-order.

That something didn't go well with the refund is a whole different issue then you started explaining in the beginning. Thats what you have to focus on with communicating with Shattered. But Communication doesn't seem to be your strongpoint

After reading all this, and playing with the idea for some time already, I decided I would give it a try as well. I fully updated my PayPal information prior to ordering 1 90 day GTC, and after ordering, I got an email from PayPal stating the money had been deducted. Not 5 minutes later I get an email again from PayPal stating shatteredcrystal.com fully refunded my order due to an 'invalid number'. What's this invalid number? So here I am, a potential customer willing to give them money for services rendered, and they simply and without any real explanation canceled my order

Just to add my penny worth - got the phone call about 10 mins after i placed order via Paypal and then it was there in my email.
Done it about 10 times since, 1 problem when it didnt arrive within 10 mins. Emailed them, they mailed me back in 5 minutes saying they were resending. Got it straight away.

I have used ShatteredCyrstal numerous times before without a problem. They have to follow PayPal's rules precisely or you can just ask to have the payment reversed. It's quite simple, you just didn't follow the instructions correctly. It is not a failing of theirs.

Maybe it's just because I'm old or something... but what purpose do GTCs serve if you're just trying to pay for your own account? The only real purpose I can see for them is to give them to other people as gifts.
If you've got a credit card, why not just pay directly? Seems like a lot less hassle.

Ah, fair enough. I figured it had to be something I just didn't understand. If the savings are significant, I could see it.

It's not SC doing this to you, it is their chosen "fraud" prevention service TrustWho. There are a lot of very common scenarios this company has no means to handle so ther jst deny the transaction and refund the cash.
Try using your PayPal account or credit card with these bozos when you are an expat, and you will always have your transactions denied, regardless of if they can contact you on the phone or not.

You have some issues. Get your account details straightened out before complaining about their security controls. I've been using GTCs (debit card doesn't like overseas transactions) from shattered crystal for over two years now with no issues, and instant delivery. ----------------------------- EVE Addict, creator of the EVE Online Forms Greasemonkey Script \o/ |

Just because you don't have any issues with a process does not mean that no issues exist.
Other people can have legitimate problems that you didn't experience.

I've never had any trouble at all with Shattered Crystal. I've been paying 2 accounts with GTCs for a long time now and have consistently received the codes before my Gmail notifier has even managed to update.
It sounds like a mistake on their (or perhaps your) part as they just don't seem like the sort of people who would screw over their customers like that. ------------

I used to buy GTC from evetimecode all the time. The last time before last week was in April. I loved the service it was great, and I even had a trusted account with them.
Last week I went to buy a couple codes and found out they've been bought out or something by a place called trustwho, which also is doing shatteredcrystal.com.
I didn't get my codes.
I sent an e-mail to them and it was rejected because of some error, tried to get in touch with their live support but it was offline for 4 days straight. I had to file a dispute with paypal before I got ANY attention from them, and THEN they got in touch with me REAL quick. I'm talking like minutes.
They wouldn't send my codes until I closed the dispute claiming they already sent them and they must have been caught in a spam filter. I replied that I would escalate my dispute to paypal before I did that, so they sent me my codes and I closed the dispute.
I'm just a bit miffed I had to take it that far. I'll be looking to purchase from someone next time not affiliated with trustwho. --- Some people think pirates are better. Pirates are clumsy. Since I had a little snafu with CCP's own billing system, where they billed me twice for the same account at the same time; I user Shattered Crystal every time I need to renew my account, and they did have to call me - initially - and confirm my identity, I spoke with the guy, was very nice and polite - now, every time I buy a GTC I have no issues whatsoever, get an email within 1 minute of paying with my code.

I don't think they like you.
The only problem I have EVER had with SC, was when their mails were getting automatically classed as spam by AOL, thus AOL blocking any of thier emails coming to me, with a quick phone call (to the number in my paypal may i add) it was all sorted and my GTC was given over the phone..
Lessons you should learn

Well, so far shatteredcrystal has been great (1 year at least). I have an account with them so I don't get a phone call every time I need to order a code anymore, I just order and it is sent instantly.
So, dunno but I think that the security measures that they take (took), are appropriate. Sounds like, unfortunately you didn't have your information in order and it caused complications. -----------------

Shattered Crystal is awesome. The first time I bought from them, they called to ask me about local landmarks. They've got one of the best fraud prevention units of any internet company.
If you don't want to play by their rules, then feel free to use your money on a less secure site that will happily sell your identity information to a criminal syndicate that is secretly funding world wide terrorist activities.
Buy from Shattered Crystal, or else you're supporting terrorism. And I guarantee you won't be playing EVE at Guantanamo.
P.S. I'm yanking your chain.
