That's a great story! Almost tangled with you guys last night.. but we extricated ourselves from the situation.
Its such a shame people have to talk smack like that though ... this is the second time in as many months that I've seen smack kick off a "major" war in that area.

For a measly 5 billion ISK however, Liga Freier Terraner [LFT] and their alliance mates Caille Insurance Inc [CA.IN] didn't seem all too willing to fight us. They did show up. Sometimes. we retracted the war because internal struggles and parallel we had a overhelming super attack of the big bad RL against our members on all frontlines (sry for spelling btw) because work, familiy and btw, some of us got new babies from their wifes this month. all the best to our m8s! \o/
..all in all, often we werent able to show up in accurate numbers for engaging 3-4 scorpions + many support/BS, so you got ganked here and there in empire or in lowsec. i want to know: how many members of your ally are able to fly into the empire m8s? 3? 4? pls. tell me!

Shockingly, calling me a punk doesn't raise any respect whatsoever.
The 5bn isk quote is from KC himself. He claimed he had hired you for the whole summer and paid only 5 for this. To me, that doesn't sound like a lot for 3 months (going loosely by the calendaric summer).

We are not overly proud of achieving a good efficiency rating vs you, since your alliance just didn't show up to fight. Hence it is mentioned as a sidenote later in the story, not in the conclusive introduction at the top.

Running a broken killboard as a freetime gank outfit might be OK, but as a mercenary corporation you might have wanted to look into and fix this earlier. It doesn't look very professional.

Congratulations to the parents! However, kids don't just pop up out of thin air. They have a 9 months production time. Taking a contract when you could foresee that active membercount would drop doesn't make you look a lot better here either.

Hmm I'm impressed. This was a very entertaining read, and it's unfortunate that the thread got polluted by a few nabobs posting tl;dr, but this is CAOD so 
Grats to Maelstrom Crew, who I have had the pleasure of having met a while back. Sounds like you earned your paycheck with honor and distinction.
This thing about pirate/anti-pirate is getting kind of antiquated. Pirate's such a pejorative term, it automatically confers some measure of respectability on the moniker "anti-pirate", when no such (default) respectability is deserved. Unfortunately I can't propose anything superior. Perhaps smacktalker/non-smacktalker could be used, but really it kind of reduces PvP conflict down to some petty dispute over bruised egos. For the time being, I suppose it's suffice to know that not all pirates are without honor and dignity, and neither are all anti-pirates worthy of respect. Personally, I choose to respect all my enemies, seeing as when you let your guard down and get sloppy in this game, you'll likely take the fast way home.
Finally, losing a Vaga to a Vexor? If true, haha, just, wow.

I for one was sort of sad that that contract ended after only one week. Some of us were actually contemplating paying for another week just to keep sticking it to KC after that smack.
