I use a bic mini.
They smaller and cheaper than other lighters, and carry less fuel... which is no big deal, considering i lose them long before i use it all.
Not a bad strategy.....until you realise the shocking truth.
You don't actually lose them as such - what actually happens to them is your pain in the arse "mates" lift them after having "borrowed" them.
I found an effective alternative is to carry a zippo which is immune from the lighter-thieving mates, and also I can fill it up by tying some string on it and dipping it in the petrol tank on my bike*.
*Dipping things with strikers and flints on them into petrol tanks is not necessarily a good idea - don't try this at home!
