Dread the step up from BS????

ViperVenom Labteck Corporation LTD. Libertas Fidelitas	Posted - 2007.07.15 12:54:00 - [1] I fly Dreads/ Carriers. I never shot at anything else other than POS in my Dread. Today i took My NAG on the test server and shot at my friends tanked Raven and i was shocked. I did like no DMG. So if dread are the step up from BS why can a dread OMFGBBQ a single BS. And am i doing some thing wrong? I kno the sig rad is way off for torps. And i didn't use my drones cuz i have Hvy drone skills. I have Dread 4/cap project4/cit torp4 I understand that a single bs will not kill a dread but a dread has a hard time killing a single BS? am i right or wrong. If this alliance fails im going back to ganking. I think im heading for -10.

Belenkas	Posted - 2007.07.15 12:59:00 - [3] You will have trouble aiming even a moving carrier, not to talk about anything less than capital. Dreadnought is here for POS, not for PVP. And no, it is not a step up from battleship... it is just another class with different purpose. Very limited purpose for that matter.

That's like saying a logistics ship is a step up from an interceptor. For dreads to kill bs effectively (not including moros's drones) the target has to be almost not moving at all and needs a very large sig radius so must be heavily painted. Then u can down a bs in hilariously small time. The main use for dreads is as anti capital ship ships or for taking down pos's. Carriers are mainly support vessels and are amazing when used as such. They can also put out decent dps but even a maxed thana can be tanked by many well tanked bs or command ships. Their main use is support. DE

Mo adib	Posted - 2007.07.17 01:28:00 - [26] the moros is the easiest to pop a bs with as all you need do is lock em and sick your drones on em next comes the phoenix that can be setup with some expensive modules to solo battleships relying on a full drone bay of webber drones and some good drone navigation skills as well as mids filled with two sensor booster 2's atleast two target painters and then some officer webbers with an armor tank in lows, practical? not really but it can kill single bs easy lastly naggy should be able to do it with some combination of the aformentioned phoenix setup however it may or may not be harder to pull off with relying on the guns as well as missles. revelation is probably the hardest to do it with based on midslots and weapontypes.
