So for those of you who were lucky enough to have missed this this is what was discussed until the carebears caved my head in. First off EVE Voice doesnt work, I offered BE teamspeak as an alternative gave details and was promptly threatened with a ban. Sorry for trying to get you guys organized. Prizes - these are the top three ideas for prizes in the tourny. 1) Domination Large POS, Fit with Domination Large, Medium, and Small guns. 2) 18 Bil Isk 3) Standing Increase to your chosen faction. This will allow you to get more lp faster when you run missions. (joy) and maybe a monument next to Burn Eden's in Jita The point system is based off a 10 vs 10. I actually argued with a certain CCP person in charge of this tourny who told me a frig can disable a rapier. Also there is no difference between Tier 1,2 , and 3 Battleships apparently so they will remain the same amount of points (since the fill different roles). The only thing that may change is recon and HAC points. Who knows. The point of this tourny to is to try and help alliances behind the pvp'ers. It will not reward pvp in any form. It is intended to reward the alliance as a whole by offering the mission runners more lp. The isk farmers, better standing, and the miners a large POS. Make your own conclusion as to what you think. I think this !!!!!!!!!!(PVP)!!!!!!!!!! tournament is being run by people who would rather run missions in laggy sytems. WIldCat

It seems that who ever is running this doesnt have a clue what he/she is doing, its not even close to representing real pvp and i for one will not be wasting my isk and time being involved in it.

With 2 you could buy yourself the pos + guns, or buy a character with the highest standing to your chosen faction with isk left over for the most expensive cnr / other faction bs's for running the damn things. Are these actually the suggested prizes?

Yes ive read the whole post, and my post is my personal opinion, yes i read that the rewards were just ideas, i read about the 10v10 point system, and the values of the ships. So what part am i missing?

Well, ideally speaking, this is supposed to be true, but EVE isn't perfectly balanced so some battleships of the same race are better than others simply because the tactics behind their uses can be more effective in a given situation. (e.g. in some cases a nosdomi can be better than a megathron, and an armageddon is usually preferred over an apoc) In theory, the only thing that makes a tier 2 better than a tier 1 or a tier 3 better than a tier 2 should be hitpoints, though usually this isn't the case. the bit about a frigate disabling a rapier is pretty laughable though

On the subject of EVE TV - great fights are what makes it watchable. If you dilute the contest with crappy prizes, that won't exactly help create the right atmosphere. Last time, EVERYONE really wanted those Corvus/Tribal Issue Tempests. ISK has to be the least imaginative prize possible, and the others simply are not relevant to the PVPers who will take part in the competition. After the tournament rules where first posted SEVERAL people who have all been in tourny before complained about them. Nova gave a MEH answer and said he would be back in 3 weeks. 6 weeks pass before he replies (and i think that was because of several mails to keiron) and the rules are still **e, now we have 1+ months till the tourny and everyone (INCLUDING COMMENTATORS**) think the rules are bad. Sorry for the flames but this is really bad.

Posted - 2007.07.15 17:38:00 - [25] prices are poor and absolutely not interesting second alliance tourney gotten a mothership, estimated value at that time was 50+ billion isk third alliance tourney winners gotten 5 (or more?) unique ships, estimated value at that time waytomuch isk this alliance tourney gets 18 billion isk, for 10 people? hokay.. i doubt that will cover the investment. Its ok that more people get isk, but tbh its not enough.
