I am sure the lag was horrible. But honestly, if I see ONE SHIP replaced due to lag, I am going to petition every hour for a month!

Lag happens to us all...you just have to deal with it. Evol should know what happens when you try and jump 50+ships into a system. It sucks....no doubt. But ship replacement is crap.

This wouldn't have been a problem but their fleet was rigged for battle, and numbered between 50-60 total ships, estimated 40 being battleships. A very dangerous fleet! Plus it was largely populated with veteran PvP'rs.
We took the decision to use BShips on the basis that there are an awful lot of people who'd take great delight in wasting a fleet of Evol Indies !!. Bships also travel much faster.
As for being populated with veteran PvP'ers that's a little difficult to avoid since that is essentially what Evolution contains baring the odd new member.

Also, it should be noted, for the record, that Evolution has never lost any ships, whatsoever, in any engagement since the inception of Eve.
It should also be noted that the GUI interface that allows you to see the damage that you are inflicting on a ship is totally bugged.
Furthermore, the visual effect cleverly simulating an exploding ship is actually a huge stellar annomaly created by the ship being transported to whichever system EVOL wishes.
This is not currently an exploit, but if anyone besides EVOL is caught using it, petitions will be filed!

yeah it was kinda nice to see some evolution palls in local again. shame they wont be staying. although to tell you the truth it was like chirstmas football in ww1 i manged to dock fill up with ammo, visit some friends and start those new skills i meant to do ages ago. infact i even had time to sit in front of station taking some family photos.
back to the grind tomorrow but thanks evol for the day of rest...

The evol that died at the gate should get their stuff refunded as that was just a whole stack of lame. TBH laggy, pos escapades like last night should just be forgotten and written off as a wasted night.
Anyway point of my post is to say that m0o's business has been concluded in fountain for a week or two now and indeed many m0o have left for our next fun session of alliance killing.
Our aims were not to take over fountain, merely to destabilize it, however our friends in FE expressed an interest in moving into fountain and we were only to happy to aid them and we will continue to do so.

Marichek, don't be an azz. We did NOT lose 7-10 ships, as your corp mates are well aware. At last count as of last night (i'm at work) we were sure of losing 5. In fact, Stav was confirming our losses on irc for us, as we had people who couldn't log in that weren't sure if they were dead or what.
Go ahead and take credit for it. I dare you.

I dont take credit for ****, and never claimed to. In fact, I whole-heartedly admit to being mostly a forum troll, but I do listen to teampseak and i do have my own alts that watch things.
I don't even really care what the losses were, I'm just tired of people trying to deny losing ships. its really pathetic. if you had it your way it would have been you losing one blackbird and us losing 5 lvl2 BSs (hint, hint)

A clarification:
There was the loss of at least 1 FA BS when they attacked the gate just before Evolution jumped in (I saw it die).
Another kill was claimed at that fight, but to be honest because of the lag, I didn't see it go down.
Confirmed BS: 5 Evol, 1 FA in and around the gate/station action = 6
Probable BS: 5 Evol, 2 FA in and around the gate/station action = 7
A count of all cans around the station found 7 cans, from a variety of ships. By cans, that would be 7 at station, 2 at gate (9). The additional two cans at the station could have been from cruiser class or less.
I think that's where the "7-10" claim came from.

FFS dude I came online just after the battle (lagfest) and confirmed 5 ships. We never denied losing ships! How does that mean we are denying losses asshat???

Erm. I participated in the kill of Dream Hunter's Metgathron and Flatliner's Scorpion in a lag free environment.
The 2nd kill is even on fraps. Thats 2 battleships.
If you add 2 + 5 (the number I heard of Evolution Battleships lost on lag clash) you'll get 7.
So I don't really see what SirMolle and the other Evolution guys are talking about.

Ah. Didn't realize yall counted cruisers too. My bad. We lost a 2 caracals and a frig -punisher at the station too. TTL bship losses are still at 5 afaik. 2-gate 3-station.
You guys make it seem like we are claiming we never lost any ships ffs. That is just inaccurate. We admit to losing ships....

Ok So I have had my tranqs today....Golem doubled my dose.
BUT I am sorry to say Evol this is not a slight against you guys...but I dont think you should get your Battleships back due to bad lag since you would be suprised at the amount of kills Evol gets due to lag issues for CA and ccp denys any lag at all.
when we had that huge battle at the NK gate in e02 the lag was so bad I also could not get any module activated at all. I was lucky to get out with my ship in one peice.
What I am saying is this is how it is for most of CA when ever we have mass battles. you guys think you own us but in reality you guys seem to be able to move about the battle and tag whom ever you choose. but yet everyone I spoke to at that battle could not activate or target. so we where forced to withdraw.
I am saying this as constructivly as possible. this is how it is. I have blamed you all but now I am starting to wonder if this is a code defect of some sort.
if you guys get your ships back then CCP needs to own up and replace any ship lost due to lag.
Any way. with all honesty sincerity, I do hope ccp does give you guys your ships back because this sets a presidance that CCP will have to take ownership of the lag issue in mass combat.
then again ccp only admits they are wrong when its to their advantage.

No I do understand, it just doesn't make a difference. Either lag is the cause of your death and they should give your ship back (wich they don't ). It doesnt matter if the lag was 1, 15, or 60 minutes or if your mods just weren't turning on.
If you kill someone due to a fault you make it diesnt matter if you were driving 80, 100, or 120 mph either does it?
I'm not saying you shouldn't get these ships back per se, but if you do there are a hell of a lot of people that should be getting their ships back as well.

There was also an EVOL Megathron killed on the route between FD-MLJ and YZ-LQL, I think Fairlane or c4w3 might know who the pilot was.

it wasn't 40 v 40 it was more like 60 vs 60, and also one of our members took 30 mins to load space, which was the last one in.
Also when we left the FA we cut all ties with them, anything that has happened since we left the FA, has been FAs descion not ours nor did we ask them to do us favours.
about having our asses handed to us, Evol and FE's paths are sure to cross in the future but as it stands now all we wanted to do in fountain was remove our stuff.
And yeah non of you but the people who was there will understand the lag so dont talk about things you dont understand.
oh and non of your opinions are valid as you dont post on your real char just some loser alt.

Well, ignoring the cute little alt troll, I can see why people would be frustrated if we had our ships returned because its never been policy before. I also doubt very much that it will happen.
Having said that, it has also not stopped everyone from petitioning it when it happens, including us. If nobody petitioned about losing ships due to unplayable lag, then perhaps CCP would never do anything about it.

Regardless, the straight truth from Molle himself is we had four battleship loses, Nex in a Apoc, Dirge in an Apoc, Jakal in a Mega and himself in an Apoc. We also lost a rupture and a thorax and a caracal which are inconsequential. Those were what was lost at the gate/station battle. No lies, no twisted the truth, those are the loses. Anything lost during the pull out does not count, since it's the pilots own fault:P
Now there is always the area of mistake, but I don't know of anyone else in Evol who lost a battleship besides those four.

Were it just a little bit of lag, no problem. I've fought through very laggy situations before with no problems (E02). My computer is pumped, and can more than handle anything Eve can throw at it. The thing is, I wasnt just lagged when we were attacked, I couldnt do anything at all. Nothing, no chat, no modules, no navigation, no mwd, no warping, no targetting, no anything, but sit and watch my ship die. I suppose I could have logged and survived, but I was hoping at some point things would snap and give me control again. Alas... it was not to be. My ship was actually spinning in circles at a high rate of speed, like a top. I definitely feel CCP owes me a replacement, sorry.
