heres my problem.
I am running missions for the Caldari Navy right now, so by nature the gallente federation hates me. I have a -3.02 standing (taking diplomacy 3 into account) with the Gallente.
I want to start running missions for the gallente so i can:
a) get out of the caldari nav mission lag b) work loyalty points up for some of the Gallente offers for my alt.
My problem is, even if i get diplomacy to level 5, how on earth do i gain gallente standing enough to start running missions for them?
I appreciate any help offered in this thread. And thanks in advance |

Find a faction that has good standings to Gallente and hasn't suffered from your Caldari mission running. Then find the most crappy Gallente lvl 1 agent and start working on him ;) Sig removed. Please email us at [email protected] if you would like to know why. -Conuion Meow

I'm not sure but I think so. Check the minmatars standigns towards gallente. I'm at work now so I can't tell. There should be a site somewhere you can see all the different faction standings. Sig removed. Please email us at [email protected] if you would like to know why. -Conuion Meow

Minmatar and Sister of Eve, mostly. ORE too, but I don't know how doable are the ore missions, they are in no sec I think.

First possibility Run mission for minmattar, sister of eve or ORE When you have the storyline for those faction you will have a boost for gallente standing. After a while level 1 for gallentean are possible
Second Ask someone, and run mission as a duo for the gallente. That's give you standings with the corporation and access to agent. Build up diplomacy to five to negate the bad aspect of your standing with gallente state

Find someone who runs missions with the Gallente Navy or whatever corp you want to work with and convince them to gang you whenever they complete missions. You'll have to pay them but in a few weeks you'll have all the standing you need to run L4's with that corp.
If you can't find such a person: In the time it will take you to get good enough standing (assuming you earn it yourself) with the Gallente Federation to run L4 missions with their corps a good L4 mission runner could earn at least 1 billion possibly 2 if you're at -3 with Diplomacy 3. With that you can buy whatever Gallente modules you want. You just have to find the right Caldari agent which these days means avoiding the Navy. I left Aramachi about 6 weeks ago when I joined a new corp based out of Sivila. I was initially annoyed by the 10% drop in LP but having 0 lag more than makes up for it.

Now this may be more of a "Burning Your Bridges" method, but if you accept and fail missions often enough, you'll lose Corp and Faction status (especially the important "Storyline" missions). By losing Faction with Caldari, you'll gain a bit with Gallante and Minmatar. Also, if you think you can get away with it, pop a few Caldari Navy ships and the Gallante will LOVE you for it. We'll just not dwell on what the Caldari or CONCORD will think of you in the mean time.
For the non-burn approach, if you've got an alt-account, have a Gallante character gang with your Caldari char and do missions. ("Me and my gang completed the mission") If you don't have an alt-account, you'll have to find someone you can trust to run missions with you and share the credit.
The Burned Bridges approach isn't necessarily the best, but it could be fun...might even get a few Caldari Navy tags out of the deal. Either way, have fun.
Mine da rocks, make more ships. Pop da rats, make more rigs. Sell da gear, make more money.

Sisters of Eve and Minmatar would help you to loose Caldari for a small amount and gain gallente for a small amount of standing. Originally by: CCP Wrangler Am I reading this correctly? You claim you have a bug that undresses female avatars

By far your best bet would be to do missions for the Sister's of Eve, they are only very slightly disliked by the Caldari's, and well loved by the Gallentes. Thus you Gallente faction would rise fast, for a very small drop in Caldari Faction. They also wont drop your Amarr, Ammatar and Khanid factions as much as doing Minmatar missions would.

It has been stated by a dev that FACTION standing gain is NOT shared. I dont know what happens if you have good standing with a corp and at the same time bad standing with its faction. If the corp standing wins, you can start doing missions for that corp yourself and get storylines for gallente, but if bad faction standing overrides good corp standing, then your best bet would be missions for Minmatar, or SoE (check if SoE has storyline agents before you try this tho)

I can make an answer to this. I run missions for several factions, Gallenty in the main, so I have high positive standing towrds Gallente and Minmatar, moderate negative standing towards Caldari and Amarr.
You have simply to take precautions before your standing with a faction drops too far into negative.
Just fly missions for at least one corp of any faction, one mission is enough, but you can do more to make sure you can access the desired agent levels. If your faction standing drops you will still be able to use the agents of that corp.
For example I have negative standing with Caldari faction (slightly into positive with diplomatics skill), and can use Caldari Navy level 4 agents because of my positive standing over 9 towards Caldari Navy.
If you do storyline missions for all the different factions from time to time you can reach a moderate standing towards all factions, but not a very high one.

As long as your stadings towards faction/corp do not go under -2. If one of those goes under -2 then no agent from that faction (or corp) will talk to you while you are under -2. On a positive side it's affected by diplomacy skill. Just diplomacy is however insufficent to get above -2 if your 'real' stadings have dropped real low (like -9.5 for example).

run missions for the interbus. They are friendly with all of the empires. Not sure about faction standings missions, but as far as how they stand with all the factions, they are at least all positive.

last time I checked neither Interbus nor SoE had any storyline agents. For that, it's impossible to increase faction standing through this corps.
Your hope is Minnmatar it seems.

Interbus - never found any storyline agents agents
SOE - GICODEL - lvl 4 PR agent in base, storyline agent in same base - 0.9 system i use it all the time - over 2mil LPs with soe now
Minmatar - if u can use ANY of them start there to build sympathetic co faction standings with gallente
so ur options look like... use SOE or use ANY minnie that you can, with my other character i have almost a faction 9.99 with soe which gave me almost a 8.00 with gallente without ever doing a gallente mission
