You quite didn't get the point. On the other hand, I miss 300bs very much tonight.
I get the point you guys are trying to make but it's just another bland piece of predictable propaganda and is lost amongst the sea of identical posts that came before it.
Their ridiculous amount of self pride and perceived e-honour makes them literally unable to admit that they could be anything less than completely invincible. A shame, seeing as how everyone that matters can already recognise the frantic hand waving of a once powerful alliance now rendered impotent by capital nerfs.
But hey, As long as they've got such renowned and skilled allies like CORM and RISE I'm sure they're going to do just fine.

Second, Bob's 'Holier Than Thou' attitude has gotten all dirty. This kind of activity will continue to erode that feeling of invincibility they portray. That sound you hear is another nail in thier coffin.
Third, the discussion of 'deserving' the theft is intresting, and the 'Karma is <your mamma>' remarks are right on the mark.
Fourth - and the only new comment I can add to this thread - People seem rather united that Corp Theft should not be a part of this game. Yet CCP considers it totally valid. I've heard many cries of 'nerf this' and 'prohibit that' during my time in Eve. Some I agree with and some I don't. As a person who likes the Empire Building aspect of Eve more than PVP (read CareBear if you must), the thought that someone can wipe out years of work by a multitude of people is distasteful. I ask CCP to find a way to protect the investments of Corporations.
Fifth - HAHAHAHAHA!
If you can't secure corporate assets from your own members you don't deserve the assets in the first place. If you can't recover from a particularly nasty theft you also don't deserve to be leading your corporation in the first place.
Corporate thefts are equally the fault of those who commit the act and the directors who were in charge of ensuring that this doesn't happen. It's just another aspect of the game you need to plan around, Like being randomly decced by MC or have a NAP with your neighbours implode in drama.
It's stupid to call corporate thefts dishonorable or pathetic, It's part of the game and you're just annoyed that you don't have the conscience, patience, skill or trust to pull one off yourself. How is destroying an alliance through sabotage and theft any difference than griefing them into submission with relentless pos warfare, super capitals and ganking their ratters with force recon gangs.

Oooooh wzatch out guys or he might unleash the awesome power of "Eldrid Wolfsguard Corp!" upon us, The largest 0.0 alliance in Eve won't know true fear until they face two-bit pubbie corp #9886.
Get out of here dude.

not entirely true. you are very limited in this game as to how much you can do to get to know a person in order to trust them. sure, if you have the RL time and funds you can fly to meetups and meet people. but even then it would take years to get to know a person well enough to determine if they are for real or just a really good deception artist.
most people are limited to in game chat, IM clients and VoIP clients. that is hardly enough to determine a persons' actual ability to be trusted.
tie that in with how quickly you need to move sometimes to build up a population of people and the number of people you need to entrust in order to get a major operation running well as well as the fact most people can't play 24/7 (meaning you have to usually entrust multiple people for the same tasks) and you've got a system of trust that is like a coin toss with the ever so slight ability to bias the weight of the coin in one direction or another.
its' still always a risk. you better hope for your sake and the sake of your chest-beating alliance that you have the abilities you are preaching as necessary, lest you fall victim to the same but worse.
(although losing a handful of t1 frigates and fittings wouldn't be an incredible loss)
Hey dumbass, Our ******* CEO stole our titan. I think i know what i'm talking about here, seeing as your a member for some ******* pubbie corp. The only thing limiting you in getting to know a person in this game are your own social shortcomings and inability to conceive failsafes.
So now why is it that the only big thefts you hear about in large alliances are from trusted members who hold positions of power rather than the average member? Two recent examples being this and Remedial. OH DAMN! It couldn't possibly be because these large alliances already have mechanisms in place to prevent corp thefts from happening. Meaning that the only people who have the ability to take anything were the ones who invented these mechanisms in the first place and thus in total control of them.
So in sum, Large heists are rare and always pulled off by people who have responsibility and power in the alliance, power they need in order to run the alliance. These sort of thefts are completely unavoidable as there are always going to be directors in alliances with access to vast stores of assets. Whereas all other heists are the fault of the victims.
If this was not true then how come in goonswarm, for instance, an alliance made up primarily of immature, selfish and cruel people who delight in screwing each other over more than they do their enemies still standing? Why hasn't a hundred different goons already stolen all our dreads and poses and all that crap already?
Welp, Looks like my point still stands. Maybe if you actually attempted to form an argument next time... However, a better starting point would probably to get a clue first before you post next.

Those plexes were reported and immediately removed - a substantial loss to BoB's income. They were also making a tiny, tiny fraction of what the 8/10s were making.
Oh, and to those of you with short memories, you can add to the months-long farming of the 8/10s the use of carriers and exhumers as bottomless haulers and constant use of co-ordinatated logons and logoffs.
Quote: So have they fixed those bugged trade routes that BoB were funding titans with yet?
Those trade routes are not bugged, they work as intended. A little overpowered with the introduction of the titans, maybe, but not bugged. They were also not funding titans with them, they probably just covered the weekly fuel bill. IIRC - it would take 5-6 months of running those routes to pay for a titan.
Yeah but here you think log on traps and using exhumers and carriers as haulers is exploiting which is so painfully stupid that you disqualify yourself from ever having a valid point in regards to arguing game mechanics.
Oh yeah, And BoB did not report the bugged complexes immediately, they were there for god knows how long until a FIX member blew the whistle on them. But hey, Let's just talk **** some people will be dumb enough to believe it right?
