On one hand, its amazing that an announcement of the desync issues being fixed hasn't been responded to for nearly an hour except for my post.
On the other hand, its buried in the 4th page of a thread in a forum almost nobody reads.
Considering how important this issue is to so many players of EVE... I think it needs a bit more of an announcement.
Originally by: CCP Explorer We now have a confirmed fix for this issue and we are planning to release it as a part of Revelations 2.1 next week.
Revelations 2.1 is a "Need for Speed" upgrade; we're upgrading to Stackless Python 2.5 and we're compiling the Python interpreter using the new Profile Guided Optimization (PGO) feature of Visual Studio 2008.
There is a clear reduction in memory and CPU usage and we'll have numbers to publish at the time of release.
In addition we're fixing a few other defects, in particular performance related issues. More details later in the patch notes.
Thank you, CCP. If this really works, I'll lub you again

this is why I hate posts on the walking thread that state "CCP SHOLD FIX BUGS NOT MAKE NEW CONTENT BUT THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR USERS" so thanks for posted this :) not that it will stop those people as they will continue to think CCP doesn't fix bugs so try to reduce lag.

/me prints out Explorer's post, rolls it up and proceeds to hit every single person who whined about this over the last couple of weeks and implied that the Dev's didn't care.

Sounds promising.... ...but so did crystal pepsi.
Heres hoping it works, so they can get on with fixing the audio BSOD problems I've been dealing with ever since upgrading to a top of the line PC, so eve would work better. Whoever would have thought that one of the most common on-board sound cards would be incompatible with eve. ------ I am in blood! We should have an unofficial test on the test server sometime soon to verify that this is actually the case. If so, THANK GOD. I laughed for 5 minutes at the shot at Crystal Pepsi.......
.... then I agreed with the rest of the post. The realtek BSOD issue is almost as bad as the desynch (if not worse since it happens much more frequently to the people that it does effect, which is a large portion of the eve pop.) and it has gone an extremely long time without even a dev saying "we are working on that."
If CCP has fixed the desynch thing, *cheers ccp* now if only you could figure out a way to determine from the server logs, a way to verify the Rraven I lost the other day thanks to that particular "feature."

First off, Crystal Pepsi ruled. It was just like normal Pepsi but didn't look like crap.
Secondly, it is certainly amazing that they posted in the forum about bugs and development. Becuase who would've ever thought to look there?

If it really is fixed that means I'll never get to experience it first hand.
That's actually really unfair.
CCP, next time there is a game-crippling problem, please make it affect those of us who sit in stations playing the markets too? It's not fair that only 0.0 players get content like this when we all pay the same subscription. -

Well then we shall make it fair.

Yay less lag and crazy rips in the space time continuum!
i think that most people think that ccp is ONE huge team, all working on the same little thing all day long... maybe if we learn these people that CCP has many departments, some with GFX, some with coding, some with mission development, and more..

If they're dumb, yes, that's what people think. The smart people realize that whenever CCP adds a new feature, they make a few dozen new bugs in everything else
