I've been doing a lot of missions, and just before they added the LP store, I sold all my tags to th NPC corp.. that was a seriously bad move, as lot of the items i want from the LP requires those tags. Oh well, they should not be to hard to come by, as you are often pitted against the Minmatar fleet when working for Amarr. I was wrong again. I have not had a single "Blow these Minmatar scum back to the republic" for a long time. Am I just unlucky? Has these mission been moved to lvl 5 agents? Are they only given to agents from the Navy?
I sure hope I only have to move agent, farming tags in Minmatar space is not excatly doable, wish it were . Actually why not? We should be able to attack the Minmatar Fleet ships in Minmatar space. The cost will be a Republic wide criminal flag, the quick arrival of reinforcements (based on the sec level perhaps) and ofcourse the sec loss.

I find there are more amarr missions that send you against gallente then there are that send you against minmatar that hand out tags.
I HEAR, that if you go into minmatar space and pwn all the repub navy ships (drones + tank + FoF missiles... A curse can use 4 FoFs and fit a killer shield tank) that they drop tags. It may be totally wrong.
Being a Fleet Commander and a Arbitrator pilot are the same thing - The only difference being that the Fleet Commander commands other people, and the people actually listen to him. |

There are still plenty of missions against the opposing factions' navies. They are available from every agent that gives kill missions. You've just had a run of bad luck as far as what missions you were given.
I don't think the enemy faction navy ships in Minmatar space drop tags if you kill them, but I could be wrong. I have seen different forum posts suggesting that they do and others claiming that they don't.

For lvl 4 there is only ONE single mission that has Republic Fleet in it, and 3 that have Gallente Navy in it. All 4 are part of the Enemies Abound serie. Part 5 being the one vs Republic Fleet, and certainly one of the hardest lvl 4 missions out there, especially for lower skilled pilots. A bit of balance would be appreciated in this really, changing part 1 from Gallente Navy to Republic Fleet would be nice.

I totally agree with the problem here. The availability of minmatar tags at lvl 4 is outrageously poor. The problem is compounded to some extent that there is a high chance part 3 is in low-sec. Which makes it frankly unavialable to mny players. Taking a lvl 4 mission ship into a hostile environment is a very risky business unless you got some good friends who are not busy today.
As a dedicated mission runner lvl 4, I probably get 4 or 5 gallente tags for every minmatar one.
We need more missions against the minmatar navy.
Incoming ancient grumble.... dare I say - yet another reason why flying caldari is the best choice for mission running.

I don't think you'll find the tags in high sec. I run missions for Intaki Space Police and I am regularly up against Gallente, Minmatar, and Ammatar.

You can find the tags in high sec. Perhaps the Intaki have some missions that are not available to the 4 main factions, but I'm fairly sure that all the primary factions have the same missions.
I have noticed that running missions for the Gallente, I seem to get more missions against the Amarr navy than the Caldari navy. I'm thinking that if I go run some missions for the Minmatar, I'll get to fight the Caldari more often.
It does get annoying to have dozens of Amarr navy tags and to only be able to use Caldari navy tags in the Gallente LP store. Either this is a programming error on CCP's part, or they wanted to encourage a trade in tags between the Minmatar and Gallente.
At some point, I'll use one of my characters to run missions for the Minmatar and the other to run missions for the Gallente. Then I'll pool the tags between them to get what I want from the LP store.

Doesn't make much sense to have to run missions for pirate corps to be able to buy stuff in Amarr LP stores...

That has nothing to do with the mission, just with the location of the agent you're working for. My agent is in a 0.5 system, connected to low sec, but I never, ever get missions there. Why? Because it's a constellation border, combatmissions are not given outside the constellation the agent is in. If you have trouble with this mission going to low sec, find a better located agent.
