yes i agree a mwd is useless for getting clear of any bubbles after jump in and its not like a fleet would ever have a dictor with them anyway

+1 for that. Never fit those on any ship. Speed isnt needed at all.
As for Mega, plated setup is the way to go tbh, and dont forget 37.5% tracking, Hyperion dont get to hit as good as Megat can smaller targets, thus it almost compesates 8th turret. ---

Originally by: Daelin Blackleaf MWD's in fleet combat... I musta not got the memo. Though I can see the wisdom of doing so. Me I'd stick with the classic range and DPS fit and sphere them, every ship forced to warp out warps back into one of the cov ops that are orbiting at range, that speed advantage means jack when you need to go in every direction at once.
Thats not what the MWD is for in fleet setups. There are these large bubble shaped things... they're kinda annoying when moving a fleet. --- Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail. - Emerson |

If you actually read the post it's not about faction, it's about standard t1 ships that are outclassed at their given role by other ships in their class. The Navy Maga was given as an exaggerated example. So go back, re-read the thread, don't question the wallets of those you don't know and most importantly shhh.

And so the thread devolves into flaming a single comment. Bravo folks.
Generally when part of a blob fleet of nothing put sniper ships the battle tends to occur with me either sniping from range or indeed trapped in a bubble. Sadly if called primary most ships tend to melt under the extreme DPS applied before they can warp, even when aligned, due to lag. I personally do not find reducing range and/or DPS worthwhile in many fleet situations (generally those with 100 or more pilots a side) also I prefer not to be part of a fleet that jumps into anything resembling a fair fight.
Anytime I'm expecting less than that I tend not to be flying an un-tanked sniper ship as the battle begins to more closely resemble gang combat with lag being less of an issue and ships not insta-popping when the opposing fleet looks at them funny. I didn't say fitting an MWD on a fleet sniper was wrong, it's just not the way I roll.
Anyone have anything constructive to add to the thread? Any other ships they consider to have been made obsolete? Maybe we can prove their not and cheer you up a little, maybe we figure they are and CCP or at least some of the community can be a little better informed.
