Of course they do.
Actually I seem to remember there was even at one point a corp advertising for LGBT people, but I'm not sure it really caught on as most people who would normally join the corp were already in a decent corp anyway.

Another glorious victory for the EVE-O forums langauge filter. Transgeneder and Bisexual are not swearwords, or censored or what ever but g-a-y amd l-e-s-b-i-a-n are.
I presume the statement about being from Holland is to stop people from thinking your into anything really kinky, like hanging out with Germans...

Saying you are from Holland kinda has the reverse effect tbh.

I mean I can understand "well he doesn't like girls so he's g.a.y", but to actually go chop off bodyparts...I never understood that.
I'm totally straight male, I got no probs with g.a.y males, in fact the more of you there are the better because that leaves more girls for me I love it when I go shopping for clothes and I'm like the only dude at the mall, its like "yeah make way, manbeef comin through"

Well, though I'm not positive about any of this, I believe it has to do with self-image more than anything else. Though you may be physically male you think and act like a female, and perceive yourself that way. I imagine that if I was in a woman's body but considered myself a man, I'd want it corrected. Just my 0.02 ISK.

Amen! That's why God gave us bisexuals - lock up your daughters ... and your sons.
Mercurye - try the ingame channel 'GLBTA' (or possibly 'LGBTA', I forget which) The last time I saw this discussed people came to the conclusion that it would be better to have a channel where folk could meet rather than a corp, as there were plenty of LGBT people interested in having a place to gather but also happy in the corp they were already in.

i'd imagine people are too busy shooting the crap out of each other to spend much time discussing their sexual preferences in-game!

That doesn't work as well as one may think. I'm a straight male and have a couple of *** friends and afters months of harassing me they talk me into going to a popular dance club in downtown (which of course is loaded with *** guys).
So we all load up in the mini-van which ended up being 2 ***s guys, my friend who is straight and married, me, and 4 chicks and I'm thinking I'm gonna be on easy street tonight with this bunch.
What happened when we got there was all the chicks in the bar were hitting on the *** guys, the *** guys were hitting on me, and my married friend got his packaged grabbed by a she-male on the dance floor while he was dancing with his wife.
Maybe it was the cowboy hats we wore or something but we can't being rednecks.

This is why you don't do *** things with *** friends. They can do whatever the hell they want on their time, they should never put you on the spot with this kind of crap. Maybe its a personal failing, but I can't stand being the presence of *** guys, they kinda weird me out; *** women is fine, they aren't interested in me and seem to a bit more conservative than their male counterparts.
Maybe its because I went to a Roman Catholic school, they do a pretty good job drilling in the xenophobia.

Being around *** guys doesn't bother me one bit as long as they understand I'm straight and if they try to manhandle me they'll end up with a broken hand. Sure it was a bit of a shock the first time I went to a party where I was the only straight man and and seeing them make out felt kind of awkward but I've gotten over it. I don't care what they do as long as they leave me out of it.
And besides this bar is a place to go have fun like other bars and around here the choices we have for bars are pretty limited. The Balcony: The new ***/dance club (the one we went to). All the hip people come here. The Big Easy: (lives up to it's name). Underage girls can hang out there until 10pm or midnight and they pass out ectasy and the date *****drug like theres no tomorrow. The pocket and Mulligans: Both are pool halls.
Other than that you've got your run down hole in the wall bars, redneck bars, redneck kareoke bars, or bars that you need to bring insurance with knowing your most likely gonna be in the hospital at the end of the night.
So it's either I hang out with friends or take my chances

personally i'm straight, but getting a complimnent from a guy is one of the better compliments than getting one from a lass but then again, i'm a total tart, exibishonist and couldnt give a damn what folks think

I used to be flattered when *** men would compliment or hit on me (yes, the avatar lies, MMORPG = many men online role playing girls, etc.) but after becoming good friends with some of them they let me in on the secret that, at least around here, they're not much different from straight men as far as willingness and desire to sleep with people and their compliments shouldn't necessarily be weighted any more than anyone else's.
I'll mention that I specified "at least around here" because it may be regionally skewed. This is southern California and I'm starting to become convinced that everyone is just trying to have sex with everyone else in these parts.
Also, on another note, I've got a question to those within the LGBT community if any care to answer it. Are transvestites (defined in the sense I'm using it as those who dress and adopt mannerisms of the opposite sex, but still retain a sexual preference solely for those of the opposite sex) considered in any way part of the LGBT community or are they sort of out on their own? - - -

Looking for a confirmation on the GLBT chat room name?
And also if anybody knows the name of any of the GLBT corps, or where I could find info about them.
Thanks!

you're thinking of transexual. Transgender is about behavior, as gender is really only a social construct defined by a parameter of behavior.
