err, the point is 70M are way overpriced because it's a stupid low and unpredictable supply, not whether I could or want to pay this amount of cash for this particular skill
have you ever tried adding anything substantial to the threads you post in besides "everything is fine, lalalalala, suck it up"? ---------- KEEP TRY!!!

If by that you mean "Do I encourage people to deal with the game as it is rather than crying that it should be changed to suit them" then the answer is yes. I certainly think that there are aspects of the game that could be improved with respect to things such as skill-queueing. Things that would help us play EvE. But I have very little patience with posts that take the general format "X is to difficult/expensive/can't be done solo/etc - GIMME GIMME GIMME NOW" - to have things made easy, to have CCP protect them, where, in essence, people want there to be less game to play.
The Graviton Physics skillbook enables the most powerful small ship in the game. As a matter of fact, I'm almost finished with Prop Jamming V; I'll have to buy it myself in a few days, which will take half my available ISK. I'll pay, and I'd pay if it were 100M. Why not? I can get the ISK back with a few hours missioning or ratting, and I'll be able to use dictor spheres for the rest of my career. I won't dispute that it's expensive; I would say that the evidence says that it's not overpriced - people are, after all, buying them. Signed, Pheusia |

Sry, posted with my other account. My comment stands, though.
And jeez... she has something to complain about: 1.5M SP for Warfare Link Spec V. Ow. Dambit, ouch, that hurts!

the drop rate is horrible, you'll make more off mission reward/bounty/etc than you ever will from the book drops.

I almost picked some of these skills up for a lot less than 70 million ISK, but first I queried a buddy of mine who played until recently whether they were worth it.
He told me they should be sold at most NPC stations, his old toon had every science research skill that he'd gotten when they were first seeded.
When were they taken off the NPC market, and why?

I'll say this: I wouldn't mind seeing an increase in the supply of the book via, say, putting it in the LP Store as a reward available for a combo of LP and isk. You'd still need to do a lot of missions to get it, but the supply would slowly increase, and the price would decrease.
However, I still think the player market should dominate the Graviton Physics skillbook sales. In other words, although you could get it as an LP reward, it would still be so difficult that it would much easier to buy it from a player.
I'm an aspiring-Interdictor pilot, so I know first-hand how daunting the cost of the book is. And since the Interdictor isn't particularly useful for making isk, it is basically an isk sink. The general incentive is for players to get other ships and skills to become self-sufficient before they venture into Interdictors and their awesome bubbles. Doesn't stop me from buying the Graviton Physics though. :)
Just set up a buy order at the amount you are willing to pay for it, then wait 3 months. If you don't get the book, then you know you haven't wasted your isk, and you DO get the book, then you know you got it at your preferred price. I wouldn't mind seeing a higher supply, but I still think the player market should drive the price.
