Being new to the game and all i have heard a lot about 0.0 warefare etc.. But especially how good the ratting is.
What i really want to know though is, what alliance has the safest space? Obviously this info will form a descision for me when i eventually move out there.
-What is the safest alliance in-terms of controlled space in your opinion? -Which space has the best ratting? -Which space has the best market?
The top three questions tbh will fuel my descision overall; thankyou all for your replys in advance.

There isn't one alliance that has safe space. I can guarantee every 0.0 alliance will have enemies who want to kill them. There's also the odd group of pirates/pvpers mucking about who want some fun. ________________________________ KIA Recruitment

There's no such thing as ''safe'' in EVE, only less hostile.
As far as that goes, I personally wouldn't know since it's War up north, and down South as well.

Perspective alert there ... Join for PVP, not for ratting. It's not that kind of game. Depending on belts is bad in the days of the blob.
Any answer to your three questions is wrong. EVE = PVP. 0.0? Says it all.

If you're just there to rat, I'd suggest you hold off on your decision until you're ready to help your alliance fight for their space. Dead weight is generally not wanted in any alliance, and if you're just going to log when hostiles are around (no offence, but that's what the tone of your post conveys) I can count the number of alliances that will want you on one hand with plenty of fingers to spare (5, tbh)

empire
in 0.0 you have to defend your space. if you just want to "eat the cookies and not help bake them" most alliances will tell you to sod off

asking questions like that shows that you really are not ready for it. Give it a bit longer, read up some, then try it.

you dont even need to be apart of a corp to rat in 0.0 to get your sec status up. there are tons of empty systems in 0.0 ~10 jumps from 0.0 NPC stations

for free? no where. You can try to work out a deal with the owning alliance....but they wont actively help you...and you wont get any intel from them either...which means its essentially worthless.
you can try some of the NPC regions. Venal is quite nice these days...no hostiles whatsoever...........

no one is going to chase you in a system that is like only -.2 and has 15+ belts. learn 2 0.0.
i suggest you take a t1 frig out to 0.0 to see how easy it is to avoid roaming gangs

last i checked, IAC dropped their NRDS policy, and have gone NBSI like very other alliance....so its join up and prove yourself, or pay for access.
When joining, they are going to ask about expirence, will want a screen shot of your skill page and a list of all alts.....at least, they should.

no specific area is safer than any other, Even BoD space has hostiles flying about. Farmer Esque people have hostiles after them all the time in 0.0, they just know how to avoid getting caught.

Because as i said i've been out f it for a bit doing a bit of piracy. Some space is safer tha others, i understand that ther will always be the odd hostile but what i want to know is ultimatly where will less of those hoatiles appear; and i do intend to join and contribute fully to said alliance once i have found one. The safest space in 0.0 right now will definitely not be the safest space in 0.0 a month from now (or even less). Any time an alliance develops a degree of safety in their deep sovereign territory, other alliances take notice and that alliance's enemies multiply. Ultimately, 0.0 is all about constant vigilence and defending your space. The best way to attain safety in 0.0 is to help MAKE it safe by performing in alliance ops and such. I'm a 4 month old noob-corp player by the way, with absolutely no 0.0 experience. :-/

Get the latest map from Joshua Foiritian.
The bits that are stripey, or are marked with a skull and crossbones, they're more dangerous than the other bits, so you can rule those out.
Now get yourself Ombey's 2-d maps. Squint at the security ratings and the station locations - you want security ratings that are as negative as possible, and an absence of NPC stations. Unfortunately, Ombey doesn't differentiate between an outpost and an NPC station, so you'll have to do a 'show info' on the systems with stations to find out what type of station is there.
