im proud to say my first podding was by Mo0 Corp when they used stacked dmg mods, had to have the GMs come in to deal with them.... ahh good times

My first death came at the hands of Corp1.
way back in the day when 3rd front was formed we told one corp1 pilot the systems were closed. They came back and taught the very very young alliance a lesson.
My BB was crushed by torps and podded due to splash damage. Ohh those were the days..

I don't remember in release... 
Pre-release I remember jumping into a system with my tristan and seeing lots of explosions and dying to EquintaZ. This was alpha I think.

My first time popped was in a Kestrel, by a guy named Red Thunder. I was quite the noob then (only a week or two old) and had no idea what was going on. NOSed and popped within seconds.

first time was ratting in 0.0 a neutral came into system and i thought meh theres lots of blue people, then 5 more ships came in. few intys, a vaga, dictor, and raven. best part was final blow wraith cruise missile (gurista pirates) then my pod got popped rather quickly
second time, afk in a gang at a pos. come back why am i in station... oh *@#^%
third time, getting rid of a jumpclone 20 or so jumps in 0.0 podded on the back to empire gate session change in progress. w/e was expecting to die 10 jumps back or so
.... i really need to do some more pvp

my first time being podded...
I jumped into one of ginger magicians regular gatecamps enroute to rancer in my first rupture, he blew my rupture but i managed to get my pod to station without being podded
tried to run my reaper back past the camp (long before wtz) i was 10km from the gate when they locked so i orbitted the nearest hostile and shot him with my vicy gat until the drones finally caught up to me lol
I think I did like 1% damage to the carriers shields!

I went into lowsec to learn PVP, bought a set of incursuses (incursi?), fitted them out, went to work. My fitting didn't suck, but I lost a ship every hour for the first four hours. It all kinda blurs together....
The one that I remember was when I managed to get to 21km away from the guy who was killing me and warp out; I was so pleased with myself for surviving, that I chatted merrily with my would-be killer in local. Meanwhile, he was bringing out a ship that was better suited to killing my particular setup....

Out in 0.0 at some random red-alliance station, was trying to get rid of an old jumpclone I had down there from my first corp... lets just say, local went extremely active with russian when I jumped into that station... There was a small blob waiting for me when I undocked.

My first time popped was actually on request. I had only recently learned Cybernetics 4 and was planning on replacing my current set of +1 implants with some +4 implants. However, I thought to myself, if I'm going to destroy all my current implants anyways, I might as well take this opportunity to have a little fun and do some 0.0 exploration. So, I purchased a shuttle and traveled through Scalding Pass, shouted "There are no Goons!" on local chat, moved on through TCF space into IAC, then down to KOS-held Tenerifis, briefly passed through a few systems with Red Alliance sovereignty, which confused me 'cause I expected them to be elsewhere, and then eventually ended up parked outside a player outpost. I forget if it was owned by TCF or KOS, but what I do know is that people were going in and out of the outpost regularly and none of them were shooting me. At this point I was bored and wanted to get back to my home system to install those implants, so I requested one of the players coming out of the outpost to shoot and pod me. And that's the story of my first podding.

Some great stories here. 
Mine was four days into the game, bored with 0.5 belt ratting, went a couple of jumps into low sec in my Merlin and checked out a complex.
I tried to steal an overseer's key from under the nose of someone from HUFF in a raven. He didn't pod me anyway.

I was "guarding" a mining op in some .4 system... maybe a month old I was in my mighty Brutix...Scorp and Raven duo warp in... pops me, and the 2 retrievers I was - like i said, "Guarding". haha

Old Man Star in an uninsured Vexor. was eating something, jumped in and autopilot switched off, i saw a bunch of flashing guys around but thought i was safe. soon as cloak wore i went poof, i got so mad i cancelled my account for like 3 days. on the bright side i learned several important lessons that day.

After leaving Earth and Beyond, I had saved up and bought myself a shiny new Moa, and then got completely owned by a pair of Torp Blackbirds.
(You used to be able to fit larger missiles in smaller launchers at cost of capacity, So you could have a Kestrel with 4 Cruise missiles loaded, for instance)
I convoed one of them, because I literally had no idea what I had done to insult them so...
When they figured out I was a 1 week old noob they refunded the cost of my cruiser... I pass one of them every now and then in space and we say hello.

While at war, I fell asleep... err, passed out at my keyboard... a war target came up behind me and killed my carebear Mega over 5 mins time. I convoed him when I woke up and he said he gave me a few prods before he nuked me...fair enough. For the next few months I lost the most ships in my alliance to 'pass-out' episodes. Whiskey ftl...
Now, beer lets me lose cheaper things like HACs and inty's 
I think I'll switch to wine when I finally train for CS's.

My first and unly podding, it was a few months into playing eve, had gotten bored of the usual grind of missions and having just trained infomorph up, I thought hey I'll go 0.0 ratting, so I get a course plotted from my local to jump off into 0.0, I get setup in FD-MLJ with my raven taking care to travel just after DT, while setting up I notice how quiet 0.0 is.
So I rat about for a while, amassing a heap of junk loot, when I decide to take a trip back home in empire, beliving it will be quiet as it was before, I set off in an unfitted badger. I jump into PF-346 to be greeted by 4 TOASP battle ships, I was fried before I could blink, then while in shock floating there in me pod I was suddenly very quickly back in suroken. The annoying thing was, that I hadnt used a J/C and had a head full of +3's

first time dieing to a player: A 5 or 6 man INFOD gatecamp obliterated my hauler while I tried to bring some stuff from high sec to low sec as preparation for one of the wars NMTZ fought agianst them. Was in my 2nd or 3rd week of playing I think.
first loss while I actually fought: in the following war, against a INFOD roaming gang, where I tackled a battleship in a rifter and got webbed and blown up after a short while. We got the BS thou :) Was still my 1st month playing.

When I started EVE I wanted to be a Han Solo type, smuggling goods from one end of the galaxy to the other. Boy does EVE suck in this respect. Back then trade goods could actually get you SOME ISK but you needed to move VAST amounts, and that meant a huge slow ship, not a small fast cruiser.
Soooo I've been running through losec, wonder WTF was up with all these rumors of pirates and I didn't run into one for a LONG time.
Finally met my fate at the end of a 1400mm Tempest piloted by Handon Guild. Oops. I was AFK at the time too (dumb noob autopilot and false sense of security) so I got podded. lawl.

I got popped while doing a small gate gank in Pure Blind. I would warp away from my enemy and then when I arrived at the destination I kept warping back for some reason and warped into the guy. Apparently I forgot to turn off my autopilot. I blame my first podding on AP :p

My first shiploss was when I tried to rat in lowsec for the first time in a kestral.
Got jumped by 5 pirates and popped and podded... but it was not a bad experience.. they realized I was so nub I couldn't actually do anything and repayed my losses and then some to get me started again.
Mind you this was like my first 3 days playing.
I came out of lowsec with no ship or pod and more money then when I went in 5 minutes earlier.

I was flying around in the "Hard Shelled" Navistas frigate.
It was here that I learned that Descriptions arn't always accurate.
I guess thats what happens when you go to Old man star trying to find rats that are a little tougher...

N00b Osprey mining in Kubinen FTL....my "guard", a fellow n00b, just happened to pick that exact moment to fly some 80km from me to pick up a can...2 cruisers jumped in, and took down my ship within seconds, my buddy ran screaming towards the nearest station of course
My pod got away tho...not sure if they let me go or if i was really able to click warp in time...didn't care either

Tank CEO got me in that "S" system just off 1.0 Amarr when the "S" system used to be 0.3sec! He killed me in my first cruiser, my beloved Exequror. 
That was back in 2003 or 2004, sometime slightly before or slightly after TTI got defeated by Jade Constantine and the Northern Venal Alliance.....

I've been podkilled over 34 times in the course of around a year, and lost many many more ships than that.
My first time was mining in a destroyer in 0.4. I think I got killed in a destroyer while trying to mine in that system (which was Decon IIRC) about 3 times before I finally gave up. Such stubbornness is what resulted in my epic number of deaths.

First foray into PvP, about a week and half after I started playing.
Me and a couple of friends in frigates decided we would be uber pirates. We were running around lonetrek lowsec, got jumped by Mathias Orsen.
He must've called me primary, cause everyone else warped, I ran as fast as I could, thinking I was inflicting huge losses on him by shooting down his acolyte I's :p
He attempted to ransom me for a mil, which I thought was way to steep for a crappy T1 fit dessie, so I continued shooting down his drones until I was vapourised.
