There are times I think, "Man, it would really be cool to have a Megathron model on my work desk or a coffee mug or key chain". I sometimes find myself looking at the items in the store with longing to purchase something of this game that I love so dear. Sometimes I even put items into my cart. And just as I pull my wallet out to input my CC info I remind myself of the multitudes of horror stories about the Eve store's horrible customer service and outrageous shipping. I sigh, put my wallet away and put the thought out of my mind.

Years ago I ordered a size L Concord shirt and got a M Caldari shirt in the mail. I'd think the Icelandians would know how to read english. I mean, they require it for the rest of us. |

cannot believe some of the trolls here smacktalkin someone for spending money in the online store. for those like Bumblefck who cannot seem to grasp how someone might want to spend $300 because they are a FAN need to realize that there are crazy people out there who will pay $1000 for a baseball card of a guy....who played on a team....once...way back when.... 
so the OP is a fan of the ships and thinks that are cool and bought some models, which is revenue generated for CCP that helps support the game that we play and the forums we b i t c h on. really gotta wonder the maturity level of the AVERAGE ADULTS that play this game LMAO grow up haters |

I have a very low opinion of the EVE store. I only shopped there one time, way back when it was still in Europe. It was kind of a test buy because they have lots of cool stuff, but I had never ordered an item from overseas before. I wanted to see how beat up a package would get.
Shipping was obscenely high. It took over a month to arrive. In fact, I had almost forgotten that I had made an order by the time it arrived. I had given up on it because I never received an update or tracking number.
I keep hoping to see a "Eve store has fixed its problems" or "Eve store : Great customer service" post, but until then I would stay away.
*EDIT*
Does any one know if CCP runs the store, or do they contract it out? I'm just curious. |

To OP: Did this get resolved???
My GF bought me a raven model for christmas, it was on time they did however charge here something like 2 dollars more for shipping (according to her so who knows)then it said they were going to charge on the site.
I'm US btw, not sure if that makes a difference.
I wonder if the problem could be with the OP's bank or something instead of the store? Maybe holding up the payment or whatever. |

It is hardly a surprise why CCP is in tough times. I don't care how good your overpriced models are, if you aren't going to respond, deliver, or let me know what's going on. Then I'm simply not going to buy it.

What is with all the people in this thread acting like spending $300 on EVE stuff is wrong or silly. Beyond paying for living expenses the purpose of money is to entertain you. People spend thousands on old cars that never leave their garage, same thing with paintings, or models or televisions or *gasp* :O! Even your EVE subscription! If someone wants the items in the store that is why they exist. To be sold to those people to enjoy :3
