Grayn Caldari Drunken Ratbags Inc New Eve Order	Posted - 2007.07.28 21:59:00 - [1] The raven will be used for doing l4s : Highs : 6x arbalest cruise launcher Meds : 1 Large shield booster II, 1 Target painter (the best named one, its as good as the tech2), 2 rats specific hardener, 1 shield boost amplifier I (is there any faction one that doesnt cost too much and would be worth it?), 1 cap recharger II Lows : 2 BCU II, 3 PDS Rigs : 3 CCC Im not really sure about what i should fit on my 2 high slots left and is there anything else i should modify? - - - - -
DanKills Caldari State War Academy	Posted - 2007.07.28 22:10:00 - [2] Just wanted to point out that the Target Painter II has a max range of 60 (or 90 with skills.) If you have even a couple points in Missile Bombardment, Missile Projection, and Caldari Battleship you're going to be able to hit at a range MUCH FURTHER than that. Like, 200+. I'm not in a battleship yet so God knows I'm not talking from experience...but wouldn't Torps be better?

Atama Cardel	Posted - 2007.07.28 23:24:00 - [4] If you're going to be using a target painter you might as well upgrade to torpedos. Also, use a X-Large shield booster (best named works out just fine), and I'd change out the cap recharger for another hardener.

Use T2 hammerheads if you can (T1 work, but T2 are much better). With a XL shield booster, i only get a few minutes before i run out of cap (and thats with the cap recharger II). Wouldnt that be a problem? - - - - -

I think you may have trouble tanking L4s with that. Large boosters aren't that great, and you're losing a slot on your tank for painter. Go with XL booster II, Boost amp, cap charger, 3x harddners (invul, 2x rat spec) You may need a co-processor to do it, but ... well, it's notably better :).

Highs: 6x Arby Cruise, 2x Dual 150mm Scout Meds: 4x Hardeners t2, Large Boost t2, shield amp t2 Lows: 2x BCU t2, 1x PDS t2, 2x CPR t2 Combinations are endless, i use my Drake for all L4s though, because the tank is just so much better when you don't have 700m or whatever for a Shield Booster. I like this Large Boost setup because with my skills, L4-5, I could run a nice constant active tank. If you only have L4 Shield Manip, you can buy a Dread Gurista Amp for like 60m or something. The XL t2 just doesn't pump in enough to be very effective from my experience. Hardeners are whatever you want, 2x invuln + 2 rat spec or 2x2 rat specific. I like to mess with a 4x Arby Torp 2x Cruise sometimes, but just because it's prettier. With all Cruise, you drop the painter, have drones and guns for frigs, they go down ez. Just be concious of your drones at all times. I hate NOS on this ship cause it's just so damn slow. lots of people use em and swear by em though, specially with the big XL Booster pumpin. The CPR's really take care of the cap issues, but you lose DPS without the additional BCU. With L4 Advanced Weapons upgrade, I'd try to fit 6 torps, drop a gun or cpr, add a PDS, and drop a hard for a painter, much better dmg that way, and of course t2 torpies. Drake all the way though, i'm too poor for a pimped out Raven for now :).

Grayn Caldari Drunken Ratbags Inc New Eve Order	Posted - 2007.07.29 17:19:00 - [16] Came up with a new setup : Highs : 6x arbalest cruise launcher, 2 heavy nos Meds : Domination X-Large Shield Booster (doesnt cost much and is kind of in-between a large and XL shield booster, 2 rats specific hardener, 1 invul field, 1 caldari navy boost amplifier, 1 target painter. Lows : 2 BCU II, 3 PDS Rigs : 3 CCC The reason i want to use a target painter is because my drone skills arent very good yet. When im able to use T2 drones (should i use lights or meds for l4s btw?), ill replace the target painter with another boost amplifier. Is that better? - - - - -
