They were pushed further than that. You can thank the Angel 8/10s, the carrier/exhumer exploits, the lack of hordes of suicidal dreadnought pilots and most importantly, the collective collapse of the leaderships of various factions within the first southern coalition for their return.

Oh, don't worry, Zumzat, i respect UNL's independent military prowess, I did live next door to you for nearly a year. But claiming they've accomplished any of their achievments on their own is absolutely absurd. If i remember correctly, the last major attempt by UNL to go on the territorial offensive independently before the TCF invasion was their attack with VOLT on 2o-eew, which resulted in over 500 ships destroyed in 24 hours (an impressive feat considering local never once hit 200), and VOLT's towers all being neutralised (not all destroyed - we pinched 2 of them as they tried to unanchor and run  ). All your other territorial gains were facilitated by the aid of a much larger alliance - I should know; i was on the recieving end of most of them.

While i agree with you - i must protest. UNL, for all their poor choice of company are an alliance bound by their honour and brotherhood, never once in Immensea did they use dodgy tactics or did they smacktalk and for that, they earned my respect, if not my belief in their ability to operate POSes.
