Look mate...
Im currently 14 years old..
I started this game when I was 11!
The turtorial consisted of the turt dron orbiting me and telling me what to do...
They only convered how to move shoot mine and dock.....
I was ****ed once I saw all the buttons and the solar systems.
But eventually after a while of trial and error I finially figured out the fun , complexity , and depth of eve...
Then...
I didnt want to stop..
I freaken sware you guys are lucky with the turtorial now it tells you everything!

u can always join the "Help" channel ingame were u will find CCP staff and players alike there to help u.
To find it goto righthand side toolbar "channels and mailing list" tabs in there u will see a few different drop down options click the "help" one and select witchever channel u wish to join.

However, it's not everyone's first association for that thing. That's what I was saying.
Calling it a triangle is a bit un-intuitive.

Play the tutorial. Also this game starts out the most difficult and then progressively gets easier, the opposite of other games.
If that angers you then i'd say eve isn't for you. Don't get me wrong it angered me and I quit several times because of what I consider an extremely flawed skill progression, but after many, many, many months, i'm finally at the point where I can finally fly what I wanted to fly halfway decent and almost done with the skillpoint grind. So now I'm addicted. But if I had to start all over again, I'd quit for real that time and not look back. Getting started in this game takes a ridiculously long time unless you have the patience of a saint.
@ ISD: not everybody reads every post before posting.
Its a mistake to put a special warning further down on the page, or on the next page, or wherever else in the thread.
I've seen it done many times and even had it down to myself on VN boards when on the second page of an already 4 page thread there was a special warning against pointing out a certain something.
Anyways, you should always edit the first post and place your warning there.
Because posting on the forums is serious business. |

Oh and also- if you want to go to a station, you could just right-click and hold anywhere in space, and choose the station you want from the list.

Eve is like a ho, you pay for it, and it sucks at start. But after a while, you'll keep comming back (and pun intended)

i acctually remember now. i also got stuck on that tutorial, on the excact same thing. only after a few minutes did i get it. that it refered to that triangle that was apart of the gui.
amazed again at how friendly eve is towards new players. everyone is always so helpful.
be careful though, these same people wont hesitate to shoot you in the back at a later time
on the other hand. if you gave up so quickly, dont play. it wont get any easier. really it wont!
