The best looking EVE ships are the ones that are symmetrical IMO... I'm involved in the Infinity ship designs, I think some of them look way better than any EVE ship, at least until I see the new DX10 EVE ships. Maybe they actually improved some of the designs... How many Current Earth vehicles are asymmetrical? Percentage wise, not very many. Infinity is striving for more of an Earth based ship design concept, whereas EVE ships don't look like the Babylon or Homeworld Earth type vessels... Building the homestead

As for the game itself, silly nae-sayers. As long as it has great content, it won't matter. But no one can say if it's good or bad because it's not even out. People never understand something that's different then the standard 'fare' anyways. Lack of imagination really. (These days it's PvP frag fest or nothing eh?) Think, use that brain of yours for a moment. There's more to gaming and life then what everyone else does.

There are currently no ships that are for sure in the game... There will be a ton of player designed, modeled & textured ships submitted for approval. After approval there will most likely be some type of voting, to see which ships make the final grade. It's a lot of fun to be part of... And if some of you hate the designs, oh well... I mean, we're talking pre-alpha stuff here and you guys are crying over some of it... Sheesh... Building the homestead

And I'm a fan of symetrical myself. To me it just looks strange when you see one wing with a thruster in the back of the ship and the other wing is way up on the nose with 3 thrusters, to me it looks like that wing is being pushed forward and eventually off the ship by the thrusters. So far the only 2 asymetrical ships that I like is the kestrel and the cormorant (it's a pansy destroyer but damn is it sexy). ___________________________ Never Forget, Never Forgive

After a few months of playing, it's usually clear what race produced a given ship, even if you've never seen that particular ship before. Maybe you don't like the look of all the ships in Eve, but I think they all show a sense of inspiration. I must chime in a 'me too' on Verone's comment--these ships have little creativity behind them.

Amarr - Gold Gallente - Green Caldari - Gray Minmatar - Brown The models themselves do not really look like the ships we see in Babylon 5, Homeworld, BSG, or any other Sci-Fi movie or show for that matter. They look more like Farscape & Lexx ships. Not really what is associated with the classic Earth style ships. But that's fine, EVE has a different style, good for EVE. Infinity will have a style more in line with what most other Sci-Fi themes contain... That's the way the lead DEV wants it...
