No prizes for guessing what was at number 1WHY?????!!!!!
If X-Com Apoc is not #1, there is going to be blood.

I propose that when you engage an enemy in an interceptor, the UFO interception/battle music from 'X-COM Enemy unknown' plays.

Originally by: CCP Greyscale I'd argue that Enemy Unknown was a better game than Apocalypse. If you want a modern turn-based squad-level game though, you can't do much better than Silent Storm.
Also, I know a shop which actually has boxed copies of X-Com: Enforcer. True story.
right on! no contest.fully destructible terrain,body shot,training style,skill tree,head customization,outfit customization... s2 was badass...
company of heroes is also awesome.
i would say best game was...ugh hard to say... but im stuck between system shock2-starcraft-baldurs gate-half life-diablo 2-fallout series...cause;
system shock2 : hands up cant grab the atmosphere ay better than any other game, and musics...and rpg style...the tension...im gonna cry...looking glass was an awesome team...i played 4 times over. :'(((
star craft: micro math-micro management-awesome balance-awesome concepts even got so much inspiration.balance is so awesome they couldnt add another race to starcraft 2 :D i sense fear :D
baldurs gate: best frpg. feel the music, the freedom.
half-life: dude u cant still see any Aİ can kick a grenade back to you or pull the trigger of a grenade when dying or hit and run tactics.
diablo 2: cant...stop..chopping..ppl...matt uelman is an awesome artist. the tension on diablo 2 was diffucult to say not just action nor horror.
fall out; best post apocalyptic rpg game. dialogs rule.pip boy rule.musics and ambient rule. cant do any better.
nowadays everybody thinks about graphics...any game which cant be forgotten is smithed by joy, dreams and being idealist. for these guys money comes later.
EVE is one of the few games combined good graphics, good balance, and astonishing music.
sorry to talk that much.im kinda relieved : \
p.s: did u saw morrowinds animations? i need a big stomach to play it. i did try tho.

If Blizz did dark Sci-Fi it will prolly blow Eve away, because whilst Eve concept is awesome, its implementation is crude and shabby, its like some code someone hacked together in their basement on amateur night. For starters try using a real programming language. And secondly IBM hasn't been relevant to computing since the 60's, get rid of the "one big supercluster" concept, technology is supposed to be going forward not backward.

Blizzard would not allow people to be sad in the game, so the whole concept would be about collecting virtual gear so you can create that virtual doll you've always wanted. ---

It does have good graphics if you spend half an hour before you start it up after installing it googling and downloading head and body mods, amongst other things : P
BetterBodies etc etc...

Wow deserves to be in top 10 since its a very fun and polished game (i played it for 2.5 years). But i would rate Fallout2 as #1

Half Life 1- Completely revolutionised the fps genre, changed it forever. Deus Ex- Completely revolutionised the idea of fps games as immersive stories, changed it forever. Fallout- Completely revolutionised the rpg genre- showed people you can have an rpg without orcs and still have a great game. Command and Conquer- Completely revolutionised the rts genre. Multiple unit groupings, polish, tactics. Changed it forever
World of Warcraft- Completely revolutionised the mmog genre. Showed people that it is possible to program a mmog to appeal to the common gamer. Before wow, any online game's (including eve) target demographic was what basically amounted to basement virgins. The idea of a game that you could jump on for 15 minutes and still get stuff done but at the same time if you played 12 hours you could still get something out of it another new idea, mmog's catered to the obsessive gamers before that.
I have absolutely no problem with wow being on that list. Perhaps not number 1, I'd say around 3-4, but definitely up there.

Originally by: Danton Marcellus Seriously Terror From the Deep was the best of the series. More missiontypes, the ships were my favorites. Also throwing handgrenades under water.
Yeah, I agree. It was actually a challenging game compared to the first one. One of my most memorable gaming experiences was the first time I ran into a bunch of lobstermen.

That was a great game, still got that as well, also BZ2 though imho not sa much fun.
Still awaiting a multiplayer Carrier Command, alas Hostile Waters, whilst a nice update wasn't coded towards any multiplayer.
But I got multiplayer Elite, and that game was and will always be #1 too me and many others.
Remember most top 100's are biased towards the minority with regards too intelligence, one of the effects of democracy. But nothing is perfect, or there would be no conversation in the entire World as nobody would have anything to discuss as its all perfect ;).
