And reverse how many solo vagas can kill a cerb ? Both ship unless they are fitter in some wonderous way draw to a halt , ammo halt usualy
Precisely, a solo vaga would not engage a cerb, and the vaga can choose its fights. It is an empty argument right from the start.
I would agree that Caldari would need a bit of boost for pvp purposes, but since I have trained Gallente in the meantime, I don't really care anymore.

a vaga wouldn't pick on a cerb but it would pick on a zealot/omen any day so it is not an empty arguement after all cerb is a viable ship, compared to it's amarr counterparts
when you compare each caldari ship with the amarr ones only curse would be the better one in it's class
Maybe, with the exception that the Scorpion doesn't live up to the Armageddon at all. But anyway, you are comparing the two worst races here, which is kind of pointless.
And I don't say that Amarr don't have issues, but after the Khanid changes you will feel the missile user's pain too.

Now I know you must be joking. Putting Caldari on top of Gallente is just plainly hilarious.
Concerning your list:
Yes, Caldari have the largest freighter (9% more cargo compared to the Fenrir, the smallest freighter), clearly overpowered and the source of much muttering among the other races. Not. The difference between an Iteron V and the Badger Mk 2 is much more significant and probably the reason why we see so many Obelisks.
The "best" fleet battleship is where the common argument that "you can use shorter range ammo and turn the range bonus into more damage" stops working, because we are talking about T2 sniper ammo here. And the hard-coded locking range limit of 250km makes the theoretical advantage go down the drain. It is still best at mining though.
The best (and only) battleship-sized EW platform is the only battleship in the game without a bonus to either weapons or tanking. Concerning ECM it is outperformed by the Falcon and the battleship-sized hull doesn't help much if you can't tank at all. Go ahead and show me a single pilot (of the corresponding race) who wants to have the Dominix/Typhoon/Armageddon turned into an EW platform.
I won't say anything about ships considered being the best PVE or mining (which is PVE too) ships.

I still havent said best fleet battleship. I said best fleet sniper battleship. And you are talking T2 sniper ammo, Im not. Im saying a battleship that easy can hit for over 320dps at 160km+ optimal, with 3 mids free for a nice HP buffer or some EW if feeling lucky, and a luxury free low slot. 18k shields with 60% resists and an I-stab II in low might save your ass if called primary.
Fleet sniper battleship means T2 guns and T2 ammo. But maybe I just didn't get the memo that this has changed recently.

And scorpion is the only BS EW platform. It is being used. And it is being called primary very often. Strange really since it apparantly is totally useless.
Precisely. A scorpion is still a ship that you want to remove as quickly as possible from the enemy fleet. Luckily it can't fit any tank after the ECM nerf, so getting rid of it is quite easy.
It's pointless to fly it, not pointless to shoot it.

All races should also have EW that works on all kinds of ships. It wouldnt be any point making TP and TD battle ships. The idea would be shot down before it hit sisi by caldari whine squad though, when they realize they would see even more damps.
I can assure you the Caldari whine squad would start laughing madly if dampeners get nerfed, since they are the most powerful form of EW at the moment.
As for every race having EW that works on all kinds of ships... Any detailed suggestions? Because my first idea would be that every race should have to fit 4 different kinds of modules to have EW that works on all races' ships.

Because they are slow.

Or how bout using that superior lock range to use EW? Put a tank in the lows, when they see your shields gone they think you are done, then turn on the dual reppers and jam em.
Please go ahead and do that. And then you tell me how to get a dual rep armor tank to fit with the terribly low powergrid a Caldari ship offers. (4600 power for a dual large rep II, a raven has less than 12000 - try to fit torps with that)

Originally by: goodby4u And as for dual rep tank,if you want to fit one i want to also when i pack onto my geddon mega beam IIs,oh wait i cant because even loading on 7 guns takes an RCUII even at adv wep upgrades 5 and still sucks my cap at the same time....And before you say im whining about amarr,im not, because you cant fit 425s on a mega easily with a dual rep either,or 1400s and dual rep on a tempest etc...
Don't know about the geddon, but why do you want to fit a dual rep tank to a long range/sniper setup with rails and arties? Are you seriously complaining that you can't fit full gank and full tank at the same time?
Anyway, I just wanted to point out that you cannot armor tank a Caldari ship in a meaningful way.

You cant with 2 ACRs. But you can run 1 with a plate or 2 plates easily enough. Cruises fit with AWU 5.
That kind of says it all.
Why struggle to fit an armor tank when that constrains you to cruise missiles (in other words a 27% damage reduction), not to mention that you can't fit damage mods anymore. And all that to free up the mid slots for tackling gear and EW - wasn't winning/surviving a close range engagement the point of all this?

Um all armor tankers give up damage mods to fit their tanks so they can tackle and use ewar.
Also Raven has more grid than a Domi...
True. The Raven has 625 MW more power. The only other battleship with so little power is the Scorpion. What the Dominix does have is: 2 more low slots for RCUs if you need more power, the ability to choose between 3 different close range hybrids (1300 MW to 2300 MW fitting requirements pre-skills, siege launchers need 1800 MW each btw) and drones as primary weapons.
Look at what Goumindong said: Even if you use 2 ACR rigs (36M isk each in Jita atm) you won't be able to fit two large reps on a torp Raven.

You just made my day. Why switching to a lower damage ammunition specialized to hit small and fast targets when fighting a battleship should give you an edge is beyond me, but you might know secrets that I don't.

Originally by: goodby4u Heres somebody that doesnt read posts, you might have noticed that i quoted you,you were saying you cant fit torps with a dual rep armor tank..And i was pointing out that you cant easily with any other snipership.
Why are you comparing a torp Raven to sniperships?
If you were trying to "snipe" in a Raven an armor tank would make even less sense.

But you might think these are full"gank"setups, you might have noticed that somebody put up a post earlier that said with longrange ammo the mega gets 370dps,but with torps(my caldari alt)gets 600 dps...Given it might be shorter range and it takes time to reach the target, its still more especially if the raven uses his mids to tank(it would tank better then the mega).
My skills are not nearly maxed out, but I have a 42 second maximum flight time on torps. In the worst case (max range) this 370 dps mega will have dealt 15540 damage before the first torpedo even hits. It will take another 67 seconds before the Raven has caught up damage-wise, at which time it will have tanked 40330 damage.
600 dps may look nice, but it is highly theoretical.
