Todays battle in M-OEE8 was the result of a roaming gang of about 21 pilots of mixed shiptypes, mostly interceptors and fast HAC/BC's.
After hearing a call in alliance chat from a trapped VSQ gang in MM space, VoyVod reluctantly started forming a gang and FC'ing. Shortly thereafter, a small agony gang came through YA0, killing a noob in a raven who I will spare by not naming here Rolling Eyes. We jumped on their trail but quickly lost them, and since the VSQ gang was nowhere to be found nor heard from, we decided to head to P-2 and EC-.
EC- was fairly fruitless. We shot at a chimera for a bit, only to have it dock up, losing no drones, if I'm not mistaken. We camped the gate for a bit to give one of the pilots time to enter empire and switch out from a tempest (or typhoon was it?) to a drake, which dragged on for much longer than it should have. Exclamation Shortly into our wait, one of our scouts came on the horn, announcing that local in the next system over had spiked higher by about 30. In no time at all, we had the agony gang back in our lap. Thanks to our trusty dictor pilot, it was a complete turkey shoot. Something like 20 kills to 0 deaths. Their blackbird pilot even dropped a decent named ECM Laughing.
After what seemed like ages, we were finally off again, this time our destination: M-OEE8. Fast forward (16 jumps) and we arrive! Intel comes in that there are 2 carriers and a large anchored bubble on the gate to Taisy. Around 31 in local. We quickly move in, putting points on carriers, while fending off or popping the little bit of support that comes to their aid. Calls start going out in alliance chat that we need help, both dps and capital support. By now a third and then fourth carrier join the mix, making a chimera, thanatos, and 2 nidhoggurs. Fighter drones are dropping like flies, but sniper gangs and increasing resistance are starting to enter system. Local is now at about 60.
Frantic requests are flying in alliance and corp chat, people are trying to work out who is bringing what, what capitals are online, etc. Meanwhile, we are all trying to keep moving fast enough to evade getting sniped or caught by drones, while also popping fighters and stray ships that dont warp out in time. We nominate a ceptor pilot to enter taisy and grab a cyno generator to bring in the cavalry. Not sure what the market was like, but he took waaay too long. Laughing Forward about 10 minutes. Cyno pilot (and now a backup) are back in local, and we hear the disappointing news over TS. "WTF? I can't put up a cyno?! There is a cyno jammer in this system." The news is devastating, as we have been able to keep the carriers locked down, but not had nearly enough dps to take one down. Support was trickling down from deklein, but not fast enough, and a MM+Friends camp of a system in the path was slowing things, causing pilots to use an alternate route.
By now local is at around 90. Lag is bearable, only inconvenience was a bit of lag when trying to warp out, and of course, when coming back from warping out, everything took a bit to load. The numbers have turned in the enemies favor greatly, and many of our pilots are starting to drop. MM has reinforced with a few more carriers, and then a mom. My incursus and then pod goes down close to the end of the battle. Calls go out over comms to start SS'ing and getting out. Killboard shows MM had 11 carriers and a mom by the end of the battle.

40 TRI vs. 69 MM (and a few OXIDE in there)

Was great fun, one of the best ones so far for me in EVE. Local was smackfree while my pod was still intact, and thats good enough for me. Props to MM for raising a force :)

Results are from TRI killboard. MM killboard isnt publicly posted, and Arrow Project killboard (from when they were an alliance) only had some of the kills posted.

Very nice read, i lol'ed for the cyno jammer thingy situation. Good thing CCP invented them, otherwise we would've had one hell of a battle. Cheers to everyone involved in the fight, sounds fun and also hilarious.

Fun Fight....second decent sized engagement I've had against Tri pilots and both have been a lot of fun. My little crow might not do too much but I've had a lot of fun since I've come out to 0.0 just recently the fights with Tri have been the highlight for me so far (well besides the farmer hauler) . Appreciate the good clean fun too, none of the empire smacktards:-).

was a fun night, the escape back to dek was fun too, made it back to ya0 with less than 10% structure after having to run quite a few camps :-)

I disagree Sith. All over the EVE people will be making notes on this one. There is a lot of VERY useful content in this report if you know how to read it.

I would rather read stories of small battles than most of the garbage posted on the forums these days.

Also a battle between 100 people whilst small in comparison to what you generally have. It's still pretty big. Also good to see a 2nd thread on these forums where pleasentries can be shared instead of bitter twisted replies of anger, hate and jelly!

I appreciate all of the positive responses. Yes, this was a small battle, and maybe not worthy of a battle report, but it did rage on for a good hour, and like many others, I check CAOD multiple times a day to see if anything new is up, and nothing good has popped up lately. I waited a few hours to see if anyone would post a battle report, from either alliance, and no one did, so I took the opportunity to try it out.
