I did another ping/tracrt and conectivity is back up......geese lost 4 hours learning on one of my acounts...thats a total of 7500 SP lol 
Im settign a long skill for to mos now so I dont loos any more...

Yeah... they added a usage limit without telling anyone. Then proceeded to ban those that exceeded that limit.

seems like an isp issue, eve keeps going down and coming back up. When it goes down i cannot access anything, not even the eve-online.com site. FIX this FFS

usually when its the server the eve site will still work, or at least ill get an error page. but this time it said my connection timed out

Man i am in Brasil, no way in hell related to this provider and i am having the connection issues. This is not ISP issue unles its CCP ISP issue.

Well wrangler checked at that point in time...ad it was. I even called up Tiscali an dthey said that thats the problem. The two issues are not linked. The server having issues at the moment is an internal error.

Ok.. Just got home from a night out on the town and still was able to log in no problems and no lag at all this time so it has to be a localized ISP problem..  Time to spam your ISP with 'OMGWTFBBQ You Suck' threads..

Anyone know if this affects Pipex customers considering they got taken over by Tiscali a while back?
Think it may be time to leave them and get a better deal somewhere else..

Seriously, they have this weird way of controling their bandwidth which often blocks games, I couldnt log onto eve (or most games for that matter) for months and months!
They have the most useless customer support in the history of useless support, you actually have a better chance of your drones obeying your commands than tiscali helping you out :-/ recently 3 of my friends in the UK who have been on Tiscali have been blocked from using Secure site pages, like hotmail, banking sites and ebay! - Tiscali refuses to admit its their problem and appear clueless.
They are also no longer the cheapest ISP in the UK! you might want to check out Virgin Media's prices or SKY! (the later if you dont have cable in the area)

Listen to the Snowman. DO NOT USE TISCALI to play eve. Sooner or later they will slap another one of there bans on anyone connecting to eve between 6pm and midnight and all weekend. They did it last October/November. They did it it in June/July. Find another ISP to use before they get you.

I completely agree, I use AOL and havent had any problems, its only as i have been staying at my GF house for the past 2 weeks and she is using tiscalli that I have been having problems...Talking to there cusermer support, the woman actually asked me what an IP adress was....sigh, I explain then she said give me a moment....

Thes true but you dont know every ones situation for choosing tiscali. I know for a fact my GF was going to High speed BT broadband but due to unforseen circumstances she had to settle...
others may just be cheap and then they forfit the right to complain, but...not all...

It was a few years back. They originally offered unlimited broadband, then rewrote their T&Cs, adding in a usage limit, completely failed to inform their customers, then promptly started banning people for breaching that limit while they were blissfully unaware of the updated T&Cs.  I kid you not.

I'd just like to point out that Virgin still offer ADSL broadband. I'm on Virgin ADSL myself. Oh, and it's unlimited too. ^.^

Just saw this topic, and I'm experiencing a lot of trouble with Tiscali. Between midnight and midday, GMT, I have no connection trouble. After midday, my connection continualy times out and I cannot log on. This has gone on for two weeks now, despite calls to my ISP. The BT connection next door as not trouble at all logging on Eve. Pings show everything working fine.
I guess I should change ISP

Maybe I should plug some super internet: www.bethere.co.uk 24Mb for ú24. I'm switching from Pipex (sold out to Tiscali) to Be. Seemed to have got some good reviews.
