I love pod killing because I love the trophy value of the corpses. From the moment I got into an interceptor, I was hooked on the pod kill. My friends laughed at the enthusiasm with which I went about it.

Edited by: cal nereus on 07/08/2007 16:28:44 One major reason to pod-kill is to hurt the other person financially. If they lose implants, that hurts them. And hurting your enemy indirectly helps you.
Another reason to pod-kill is to simply force them out of the system, and back to their home system (where their clone is), and that can be very far away sometimes.
Edit: Also, I collect corpses. ---

I used to think that - man its harsh, I'd never pod kill. The the first chance I got to lock a pod during a war. Pop - and that sound.... Its just pure nasty... Its war out there, and killing a ship is just impersonal.
Killing ships is one thing, but a pod, thats always a bit special. |

if the podded person (enemy) did not have a high enough clone , he will loose skillpoints .
loosing skillpoints is possibly loosing dps or tank for a bit , depending which skills lost points , so that enemy will be less strong for a bit .
and offcourse the nice sound and the lovely corpse as reward are other bonusses

Edited by: Zeke Novak on 07/08/2007 19:05:18 Because I can mostly. And in the hopes that you have a head full of faction implants. Destroying weeks/months of my foes work is extremely satisfying.
Also to avoid people going and grabbing another ship and coming back to shoot me some more.

Some one transgresses against you and is flagged (goes all red flashy) then you take out their ship and you pod them because if you don't they will come back after getting another ship from a near by station or system and kill you and then most probably Pod you.
So by Podding them you remove the chance of them coming back and taking you out, though if they have a clone near by that's a different matter all together.

It comes down to ISK; if you're going to kill someone, do the job properly. In the case of a 0.0 war, taking out someone's snake implants is sensible. If it's empire, why go half way? The only reason NOT to pod is if you're in a tournament of some kind

I think "why not", and "why leave the job half-finished" pretty much sum things up. Even if for no other reason the killmail on your killboard is worth it considering there's no reason not to. Hell, many people pride themselves on their killboard. ______________________

P.S And the hate mails get so much more venom in them when you relieve some1 of their imps, And even better if they dont have a up to date clone so they loose their hard trained lvl5 skills.
Anybody flying through low sec with +5 implants and without an updated clone deserves to be shot for their idiocy, rofl.
