Irony can be seen as comedic in some instances I guess but it wasn't really meant in that sense in this instance because at least where being part of a blob of goons can be quite disassociative, the fact does remain that every goon, whether they fly a carrier or a rifter is considered equally worthless. Now on to the crux of your post. You seem to have lost the meaning some where. Did you respond with pure malice in your heart just to try and imply that I am less than intelligent or that I am in fact a pet to some other entity, perhaps Red Alliance? I like your use of italics though, it makes your post almost pretty.

BoB asked former ATUK-player to join into BoB corps. The ATUK pilots instead wanted from bob a new corp where they can hang around again with their old friends instead to be spread around in an alliance. as far as i know at least.

It was just catchy and everyone wanted to be cool and smack like ATUK so the term stuck. But we digress, I don't think the origin of the term is all that important. I'm sure that people called pets do gain some benefits from having their special relationship with BoB. I don't know what they are exactly but there must be some there somewhere. The only thing I can think is that it's like that stupid girl you always see who doesn't report her abusive boyfriend despite the fact that one day he will probably end up killing her because she is too stupid to get away before it's too late. So basically, In a way Goonswarm are kinda like the Samaritans, RA are like the sheriff of Nottingham and AAA are like Spesnatz. Didn't we already establish that I was right at least in the spirit with which it was meant, ie that nobody on this side of the fence coined the term pet for some of the more subservient corps within the ranks of the Greater BoB Community. I believe historically it was probably in reference to FIX but I am not around long enough to remember. But at least my statement wasn't baseless, it was almost correct in most of the context. I didn't just make a blanket statement about someone I didn't even know, which is what you did and quite frankly is offensive and makes you appear a buffoon.

As to any ban by Goonswarm leadership, I am not quite sure what you mean with this but I will do my best to find out if this is in fact true because it could prove quite important in the future.

The pets are not going to fold up or leave anytime soon, they will fight for what they consider theirs. The guerilla tactics are just waking up a lot of people currently not really involved in the war, but when they do, it will be against Goons et al. There is no renting space from Goons option for most of them, and they know it. Most will not want it if offered, there is always somewhere else for them under less unpleasant circumstances. It's a pity because all of those assumptions are either stupid, ill-informed or basically totally wrong. Now I am filled with pity. Care to elaborate, or just talking out of the wrong hole again? I'd probably have tried to answer you if you weren't so insulting on a personal level but I can't be a party to a continuation of rampant baseless accusations, mis-information spreading and plain old flaming.

On topic at least, it would seem to me that most of these "pet" alliances aren't really fighting for BoB, but rather fighting against Goons (personal opinion). I'd go into more detail, but it'll just get twisted anyways :S

If they lose, EVE will revert to what it was for years: a space video game instead of a conquest simulation where some have a hard time drawing the line between real life and virtual combat. Should I be right or wrong, we'll see soon enough its not about proving anything, anyhow lets say red/goon/tcf wins, allliances will seek diplomatic contacts to have a joker card. So when this blue alliance gets attacked by another alliance, both equal in size, with no blue standing towards the red/goon/tcf guys, what do you think will happen when **** is startin to heat up? But doenst matter who wins the winner will have a serious problem in finding an enemie who is worth the fight, cause .0 politics have simply become a numbers game not a game of being good and able to hold space. .0 politics should be more about are you able to hold your spot in .0 and not about how many ppl you can get in one system to have the overhelming force, but its just that ppl are napping each other not because of friendship nor due to respect, just because to blob others that might become a threat, ppl forget to appriciate a good non lag based solid fight, when you lose you should improve yourself and not call more ppl. So bottom line is, eve is a pure numbers game, and when ppl talk about manageable lag in the same sentence with 10 mins module lag, something is totaly wrong, and that is as much bob fault as anyone else. When numbers would stay closer to a 100 then to a 1000 lag wouldnt be such an isssue as it is today. But ppl are simply not willing to risk pixels when they dont have too.
