The whole proposed fuel block change is a complete and utter waste of time.
Fuel worked fine the way it was, it was simple math. Stop trying to idiot proof EvE. We like it because it's not idiot proof.
The new fuel blocks are nothing but a hassle.
My faction tower is now worthless and my stockpile of fuel now needs to be tediously converted to fuel blocks.
Complete waste of resources CCP. What is the point of having a faction tower now? Larger fuel bay? What a joke. |

Well your faction tower isnt useless you still get the fuel bonuses. And tbh it gives a more complex task to fuel as if you want to get the cheapest fuel youll need to build it meaning you need to run manufacturing slots aswell. |

So very much this!
I really can't be bothered with working out how many of each of the current different types of fuel I need to buy for a week. Sure, i've got it written down somewhere but it's a pain to have to dig it out. New fuel blocks make things so much easier, one market item to purchase and it's all taken care of. I totally agree - very much pro fuel block. The last thing I need when getting home from work getting kids to bed logging on to find I'm running out of fuel. then having to go through and figure out how much fuel of each type i need......

You run 1 tower. Your gain from this is probably minimal.
Other people run more than one tower. Their gain from not having to do the math separately (I use an 3rd party calculator) and type the 8 numbers in 10+ different times is proportionally greater.
And you're WAAAYYYYY late to the party for this Whine. But I can offer some cheese. |

My only worry is that this change might do for public manufacturing slots what invention did for public copy slots. If we have to move production to POSes because POS fuel is clogging up manufacturing, that's going to make ship manufacturing an interesting undertaking. |

It's not hard to stick a Component assembly array on one out of every 10-20 POSes(I've forgotten). |

I'm more worried about this 1. people are lazy and want to just buy their fuel prepackaged, 2. logistically it is a lot easy to build fuel blocks in a high sec station, 3. if all the high sec build slots get filled we will have to use POSes more often in production this means more clicking and messing with thing.

2. Only if you produce no fuel locally. 3. Someone did the math, and if every POS owner built their fuel in a station, it would take up something like 20% of the hisec stations slots (CBA to look up the real figures). |

I support fuel blocks
I do not support idiots that are gonna have just one more item to market manipulate.
Before they had to poke arround a lot of items to cause a price in fuel to go up. They mostly chose robotics.... and coolant... now somebody has a direct item to manipulate....

1. I'm lazy as well. So good for me. 2. Lot of things are logistically easier to do in high sec. Like running afk missions or mining without getting podded. CCP won't taking high sec out. 3. If all the high sec build slots get filled, it'd be a wonderful thing. POS manufacture has always been the red-headed step child. This would help it get the attention it deserves.

Very small effect on public production lines. The manuf time for a single batch is down around 2 minutes in a station slot at PE 40. Which is a 30:1 ratio of "hours of run time for a large tower vs manufacturing time". And if you use a component/ammo array, it cuts that time to 90 seconds per batch.
Standard, non-faction, non-sov bonus, large tower requires 30.4 days x 24 hours x 40 blocks per month or 29184, which is about 18.25 hours at a POS array (24.32 hours at a station). So run a station slot for 1 day per month to produce your fuel blocks for your large tower. |

Honestly, why even go through the hassle of all that to begin with. Just make standard or racial fuel period. Instead of implementing blue prints, having to gather all the **** needed to make the fuel in the first place, and then finally having to manage manufacturing jobs on top of everything else you are doing with your POS, god help you if you run multiple POSs, plus everything else you are doing in the game. It's a nightmare to be honest. The *ONLY* thing that makes POSs easier now are the reduced timers for online/offline anchor/unanchor.
Just make POS fuel standard or racial NPC seeded from the market. Yes, it would be a logistical issue for nullsec alliances to get their fuel but it puts work in the hands of jump freighter pilots.
Its not the point of idiot proofing EVE, its the point of making it more enjoyable to hop on for an hour and just play. Not have to be dedicated for 6 hours simply for ''upkeep'' of everything you are doing in EVE. Maybe CCP should think about paying us for playing the game, instead of us paying them for continually taking a good game and smearing **** across it.
I give you examples:
World of Darkness Incarna Expansion Crucible Expansion (Should I list other expansions too?) Dust not being on PC but only PS3 (Good luck with that one) No free flight controls on smaller ships (How many trial accounts you think don't subscribe just for that?) Null Sec is complete ****. Ever going to fix it? High sec worth more than low/null possibly wormhole space too.
I think you get the idea. Fix EVE, stop making it worse. I think CCP does it for the Luls. |

This is the worst idea ive read in along time. Nothing should be seeded by NPC's EVE is a sandbox which means players produce everything in it, we dont want to go back to having pos fuel seeded by NPC's |

I'm sure his religion only prevents buying isotopes that someone refined (from ice blocks that someone mined) as getting to that point required no blueprint or manufacturing line. As soon as blueprint is involved, it is no longer "kosher" and he must do that step himself.
Or something.
Or perhaps he's one of those "I mine/PI it myself, hence it is free" people. They tend to be hard to convince.
A month from now almost every POS operator will just buy stacks of fuel blocks from Jita and carry on. At the same time a bunch of T1 newbie industrial types found a new way to make few percent off each of those transactions and are grinning wide as the ISKies flow.
(oh, I'm sure most will fiddle with fuel and manufacture blocks at first but when they notice that the money they save compared to just getting ready-made blocks is in the 3-5% range, they'll eventually give up and just buy blocks to save effort) |
