holy wow  that has got to be one of the best vids ive seen from in game..yeah the sacking of venal is cool with lots of combat..but there is no cool editing and its gets kinda repedative. this is like watching a movie preview. dont suppose you could make a longer one?

Screw that! we want more movie length! Keep this up and they will use your videos for tv commercials. I know if I saw (a better quality) version of that video on tv I'd go buy EVE in .002 seconds.

Yeah, I know its kinda short, but thats because its supposed to be a recruitement flic that as many people as possible could download, and not something that only broadband people would see 
Now lets see who can figure out where the music is taken from... (I'll tell if nobody finds out, don't worry )

World of Warcraft trailer music, why did you use that, I am ashamed of you.
AND GOING ON TEST SERVER AND EJECTING 100 APOCS ffs.
Other than that, and the shameless speeding up of 'thron being hit by missiles by 500%, and speeding everything else up 200%, not a bad effort guys. Quite original on just using random crap on it like clips of stargates and such.
Make another one so I can give my "constructive" feedback on it too :)

Good call on the music .. heh, didnt know it was that known (only a trailer after all) - and I heard it in a different place altogether...
Like in my other clips, I usually speed everything at atleast 200%, EVE is simply too slow, and I'm sure people wont want to see a 5 minute clip of only ship A blasting ship B away...
About he Apocs, well, I was once at chaos, and saw this GM (BH?) spawning tons of apocs at some spot - it was so cool, so I had to film it

well known trailer music because it simply rocks, it shows up in my playlist from time to time ;)
I think the warcraft 3 trailer featuring that music is simply _uber_ best trailer in years
and yes what did the trick for me was mostly the music and the faster scenes

On your next video you should ask the devs to hook you up with some Titans and Jovian ships and get a acting crew together to help you film some scenes. Then make an EVE presentation instead of a mini trailer.
The music you used is best fit for eve, the large orchistrated epic music. I have allot of that kinda stuff. They make allot of it in Japan but it's usually snuffed out with foreground sound effects so nobody really gets to hear it really well unless you buy the soundtracks. If you need help with more origional BG music give me a yell be glad to run through my CDs and see what I got.
I'd help with the acting as well, but I'm not in BIG corp, and I'm too busy with allot of other things, but do contact me if you need any spiffy resources :)
I've helped make music videos for lots of computer games out there (mostly Quake 2 and Tribes). Movies like this is also a great way to modivate the general community for role play/events. With the modern home pc most people have the media tools needed to assemble videos like this in no time. The best part is by making these grand epic videos BIG corp gets all the credit :)
This is the best video I've seen so far that really sucks you into the EVE universe and makes you want to play more.

I think the gratuitous use of Powerpoint style clip merges was shameless!!!
Urm, also, using clips sped up insanely makes it look really really fun when we all know all it's dull as **** mining for corp.
Over-hyping is bad y'know, but it's ok to pull in the newbs to mine and fund your PC Pirate mains getting BS OBPs and selling 1-runs on eGhey!!!
