Banning a player from a match? Really? What is this... I don't even.... |

I imagine this is to discourage "joke" entries into the tournament. |

You can only have one logistics ship... you can also have one team member banned before the match starts. What do you think is likely to happen for nearly every match?
(Assuming an alliance does the bare minimum work needed to get intel on the hostile fleet setup ahead of time so as to be aware of "false logistics")
Essentially... expect a lot of drakes.
Edit: I'm assuming the two teams can/will submit their banning choices before the match begins, and the "results" of those choices will be revealed simultaneously? As in, a team won't get to "wait and see" if one of their members gets banned before choosing to ban someone from the other team. |

By doing what, exactly? You can only fit reps, according to the rules, on logistics ships or strategic cruisers. You are only allowed one logistics ship, and if you try a team of t3 cruisers... well those ships look different depending on how you fit them. >_<
If a team is willing to sacrifice the points (and I suspect most teams would, making the point loss a non-issue), then logistics is pretty much removed from the tournament picture. Should make for quicker matches, if nothing else. |

I can think of a good reason... having a shot at winning, for one.
