Originally by: Mind's Desire According to eveinfo, the total incoming DPS from the 6th AE pocket is roughly 1600.
Now eveinfo is quite outdated but is this number about right ?
I'd also like to know which level 4 missions/mission parts are the hardest to tank, assuming you don't screw up with triggered spawns.
I think it's low. This is the only L4 mission room that can break my NH tank. It's worse than Recon 1/3. I did it last night by flying away and taking out the HACs but it was tough.
It has some really evil HACs and some really pathetic BSes. I think it's the HACs+sentries that seem to be the problem. -- (Battle hardened industrialist)

Originally by: Big Al It's not 1600, I tank it at 100% in my nighthawk.
What do you mean 'at 100%'? You mean your shield never moves?
On the assumption you mean something more sensible I'd be very interested to know your setup. I have:
2xLSEII;SBAII;Gur. Invuln;Explosive T2
..and I have to work very hard just to avoid warping out. I certainly couldn't just sit and watch the light show like I can with Recon 1/3. -- (Battle hardened industrialist)

Shield never movies. When I used to run missions in a Cerberus AE bonus, Recon 1/3, rogue slave trader 2/2, and the Blood version of Shipyard Theft were the only missions that dropped the shields below 70%. I haven't tried tanking a full spawn of Recon 1/3 with the NH, as the jamming is just annoying, but the other missions it runs at 100% as well.
I'm calling BS on that. I don't know of any L4 mission that won't move the shields. Of course most don't get me below 70% (a lot don't even get me below 80% if managed) but claiming that AE4 bonus room doesn't move the shields is ridiculous.
A single cruiser is enough to 'move' NH shields. It won't move them far but it will cause a small amount of red to appear. -- (Battle hardened industrialist)

Originally by: Big Al Ok, when I said it stays at 100% I meant at the end of every boost cycle it's at 100% sue me because it drops to 97% for 2 seconds.
Ah, well fair enough..sorta
In that case I have to ask why you are running a booster like that. It's horribly innefficient. If you're boosting you want to be maintaining your shield as close to 33% as possible because that's where peak recharge is. Using a booster to keep the shields at 100% is bad practice. Fine if you can get away with it but it suggests that your fitting is over the top and that by sacrificing a little off your tank you could improve your DPS.
To put your setup in perspective have another look at mine. I don't even fit a booster. I'd be interested to know how long you can run your tank because I can run mine 23/7 even while using Caldari Navy missiles. -- (Battle hardened industrialist)
