Read the latest Dev Blog. They have plans that should help places like Jita although it will be several months yet before it is in place (new uber hardware). With current game design (how it runs on their systems) I think they have done about all they can do with what they have got.
So, stinks to have to wait severla months but good to know they have a plan in the works.

really dosent matter what they do, on a sunday jita will always be as laggy as hell because ppl seem to think prime time sunday is a good time to do their weekly eve shopping, and no matter how high they raise the bar on ppl in jita at once more ppl will just pile in and make it laggy again

Maybe.
The Dev blog says the new hardware would allow spanning across multiple CPUs (even CPUs in separate boxes). I believe today the best they can do is dedicate one CPU to Jita and that's it. If they could get Jita load balanced across multiple CPUs I think it could handle a lot more than we see today.
Guess we have to wait and see.

Easiest way of fixing Jita: Turn it into a 0.0 sector occasionally. Once a week should do it (at random).
4-4 + Doomsday = WOA

Fascinating. Amsen - Perimeter passes through Jita, Perimeter - Amsen does not.
Still, Jita is almost lag-free right now.
