the thread had only been up about 4 hours at this point. it's entirely possible to go a few hours without visiting the eve-online forums.

And this is not the 1st time people claim you cheat on your tournament and refuse to pay when you lose.
If you like to advertise everything you do, make sure you at least have the balls to don't cheat.
Oh, and, you are allowed to chose the range the fight starts Siren and, also acording to the rules, ew is a no go. So by using those dampeners, Curzon was breaking his own rules. Even so, he managed to lose the fight

This doesn't suprise me, although I suggest people wait until Curzon makes a statement. He may be arrogant and rude sometimes, but i've got the impression that he is a decent person mostly and he doesn't seem to be the type to do this, as it goes against everything he has spent so much time on the forum creating and reinforcing.
On the other hand, this could be true. If so, it's a dissapointment.

His rules specifically state no ECM. Damps are not ECM. Dampners are part of Electronic Warfare along with warp disruptors, webbers, and ECM.

Don't be so quick to accuse Curzon of non-response. He's US timezone, and it is currently 6 AM US time. This was posted at midnightish US-time, and he logged shortly afterwards, presumably for the night.
Curzon has assured me that he has taken elaborate screenshots, and will be posting his case onto the Eve-O forums.
Until this happens, I'd like to ask for no more personal attacks on Curzon's character. He has seemed like an honest guy up until this fight, and I'm more than willing to extend him the benefit of the doubt.
Let him speak his piece. Don't rip on a guy who's not online to defend himself.

Jeez people, someone goes for a few hours without posting on the forums and you practically hang the guy.
I was asleep when this challenge happened (as we are on the East Coast in America) but when he came to bed (and woke me up  ), he told me about the fight.
I think it could be a dysync thing. He had an overview bug, of which he has screenshots, and he couldn't launch drones. Now, I know he's going to post about this when he gets up and explain everything in detail. He tried last night after the fight but he said the forums went down and he couldn't post what he wrote.
I do know (because I helped organize it) that the Battleship Tourney is fair. Curzon does his best to ensure that everything is fair to both sides. He literally gets ill before each match because PVP is gut-wrenching.
He can set whatever rules he likes for a match, because it's his tourney, however he does change things sometimes when the person asks to have an exception made (like Siren did, by asking to fly a Myrm and by asking Curzon not to fly a Domi). 9 out of 10 fights go by the rules posted in the thread.
Give him time to respond to why he did things the way he did. Everyone is so quick to think something horrible about everyone else. Gotta love that about Eve.

Both are allowed to use all EWar modules except ECM type. I think I read an explanation of why in his Battleship Tournament thread but I can't be bothered to find it.

Many people have probably read the RAK/Curzon thread where we were trying to set up a 1 v 1 with one of our members Dhejay Centrix.
This thread has put serious doubts as to whether or not Curzon can be trusted to play fair. Especially after he called us up over not honouring a 1 v 1 (which we don't usually) but made an exception in his case because it was going out on EveTV. I know it sounds hypocritical coming from a RAK member but the fight was scheduled and we haven't heard anything back from him.
This thread has knocked his rep a bit and coupled with his lack of proactiveness regarding our scheduled 1 v 1, I'm personally having second thoughts. Obviously I'll wait to see what the other RAK guys decide.
Maybe he should join us in RAK with all the other dishonourables!
Ah well, I await Curzon's side of the story with great interest.

if what you say is correct sounds like he owes you 1.25bill due to him warping away (running away, forefitting what ever you want to call it) no excuses tbh if he didnt have his overview etc set thats his problem i bet you he would have kept your money if you warped out saying that.
No excuses simple as you won due to him warping out finishing the fight and leaving you to claim the battlefield

I hope Dax defends himself soon, although after that nonsense where he warped out because he didn't even know the difference between ECM and EWAR and then didn't consider it a loss I'm not entirely confident the guy is as strict on himself as he is on his challengers. Even with screenshots of overview bugs, what does that matter? You don't get your POS back because the defending fleet got desynched. Isnt this about finding the best pvpers? Real pvpers deal with that crap and move on.
