I once took a disco raven to someone high sec ice mining afk in a Hulk back when they cost about 600 Mill. 20 minutes later he convo's me and asks me to pay for his ship as it's not fair i killed him
Laugh? I nearly had to change my shorts after that chat.

I'm reading this thread, and most of what I read are examples of noob-to-gaming more than noob-to-EVE. As someone who's a noob-to-EVE but not -to-gaming, I can get a chuckle out of all of these and learn a bit from most of them. But if we had longtimers post what their "noob moments" were, I would learn a lot more.

Yeh, I've heard the pause button one a few times, along with "How do you save?".
Best one I for me was someone complaining how long it took to get places before they discovered the warp button :)

Pilot #2: Why did you pod my son? hes only 9 you loser.
Me and Herbs: Umm excuse me he targetted us first so we lit him up.

P.S. I DID feel a bit bad about the 9 year old kid but... when locked up we shoot first and ask questions later....

My friend sent me an invite for a free trial to try out the game. He told me not to do the tutorial, that he will just show me the game. He wasn't online atm so I was just warping around not knowing what to do when I see this obelisk. (at the time I had no idea what it was). All I remember is I ran back to station and docked so it wouldn't kill me

This one was actually on these forums, possibly in the newbie help section. It was some guy asking how to skip the warp tunnel animation/cutscene. He said it was too boring, or something along those lines.

A very new character in his freshly minted cane was in 0.1 today and one of our corp mates had this exchange:
