As most inteligent people know the raven gets owned in most 1v1 situations.
Aside from electronic warfare, the raven just doesn't have the DPS the mega\geddon\apoc\etc have.
So what are missle specd bs pilots to do in pvp?

Baster Rokh, 'nuff said. Or A scorpion with 4 NOS and jammers. Both will work out quite well in 1 vs. 1 scenarios, I believe

Ravens not a bad pvp ship, but not used solo only in gangs who look after each other, he has *some* benifit, while the railgunners have to worry about range/ammo etc... makes no difference to me. Has one hell of a alphastrike as well. I fly ravens in pvp, and have a 10:1 kill ratio atm, a lot of that is down to good FC's and a great group of guys to fly with. But the ship doesn't let me down either.

Caldari aren't good for solo PvP because their mid slots are used for shield tanking instead of warp scrambler, mwd, web etc... In group PvP they're fine.

Which would you rather have in your gang, a Mega or a Raven? A Drake or a Myrm? A Ferox or a Brutix? A Moa or a Thorax?
I know what I would chose.
ECM ships are borderline fine, they're still effective but now paper thin.

People should first read before posting: This guy is asking what MISSILE SEPECD pilats are going to do, so rokh is not an option.
1v1: either tackeling or good tank, can't have both. But in both cases it has a low damage output. So either in 1v1 or many vs many - the raven is a ship that many people don't want see in their gang but in their enemies gang

You cant have everything guys.
Raven is fine, if you want more pvp missile ships you have to go armour tanked.
Try Khanid ships after the patch (yes I know there are no Khanid BS's.... yet)

Depends on the PvP, close range Mega/myrm/ferox/thorax. Mid to long Mega or Raven/drake/ferox/moa.

What the OP wants is a raven that acts like a megathron/dominix.
Its just one of those things I'm afraid. Caldari is god of PvE. If you aren't happy with it just train another race. No offence meant btw.

A raven is actually quite useful as a non-Battleship PvP craft. Torps + Target painter are pretty cool at taking down cruisers, BC's and the like, while a cruise-missle fitted raven is good for taking down inties and other speed-tanked craft thanks to their damage being enhanced by MWDs
But for all round good PvP, the Blokh does a pretty good job (blaster rokh) :)

yer as it is now that is pritty much it ^^
mostly it is a problem with the missiles speed i think.
and a bit the fact that they got over pwnaged by the multiple nerfs caldari have suffered the last 4-5 patches :S

Train for gunnery.
There are ways to mitigate the disadvantges of missile weaponry in PvP, but those disadvantages are the price we pay for Ravens being such a ratting steamroller.

LOL the raven is so damn ower powered allready. i hounestly think its the only ship people do misions in and rat in... its VERY rare i see amarr ships as ratters choise. or minmitars for that matter.
