Most of us aren't that stupid. But "Like any nation" we have a few bulbs that don't shine quite as bright as the others. I don't know what idiot came up with the 1 in 5 number, probebly a very poor sample or something.
Also to the "passing off landmarks as our own" thing. You know there was probebly like 10 "good" answers for every stupid one that were never shown.
I'll give you that our idiots tend to be unusually stupid, but those people are just a disgrace to us all...

for one thing, most world maps in the US have the US in the middle (as opposed to europe, like here in the UK, and probably the rest of europe)
Not from what i've seen. Usually you see the atlantic Ocean in the middle. Europe/asia on one side, US on the other.

No one seeing anything wrong with this picture? If this patriotism and nationalism is 'ingrained' i really hope they revert to a protectionist economy and keep all their politicians inside their own borders and in asylums.
Not true, most of the people I know hate bush's policies. We think he's a dumbass here as much, or even more, then any of you guys. The only reason he got re-elected was because of a bunch of religious nutcases down south, and dumbasses who blindly vote for a party all the time every time without care of the actual issues. I don't even think those types of people support him anymore after this last term.
P.S. I wasn't old enough to vote when he was re-elected, and if I was I wouldn't have voted for him.
