On my way back from Torrance today I drove by Compton. I was thinking about how close Compton is to 0 space and that people will blow your car up and loot it for all the materials for profit.
Anyone else had any sad moments?

When you empty the trunk of your car and put the stuff in a suitcase and fill that completely and then fail to understand why it can't in the smaller trunk of your car...
This still puzzles me in EVE, you put stuff inside container and suddenly there is room for even more stuff in your cargohold...
When you ask the cardealer how much cap the WCS uses on your car.
When you try to jumpclone to work... (would actually be nice to have a clone at work, while sitting at home playing EVE)

I hold down CTRL if I talk on the phone at my computer, because I use CTRL as a press to speak button for ventrilo/teamspeak.

I once dreamt that I was smelting huge amount of tritanium to make armor plates, then it was some polishing going on and assembling, carts filled with megacyte (like the old wild west gold mine style). Robot arms swinging around.
Apparantly I was building an apocalypse in my dream, kinda cool dream imo.
I usually get some EVE related dream if I play too much or spend too much time on the forums.

Not my personal experience, but I heard this from some random pilot in the middle of nowhere.
I got up as usual this morning and went to the bathroom to get ready for work. I picked up my shaver and tried to turn it on, it wouldnt. I looked at myself in the mirror and said out loud,
"The capacitor is empty".

anyhow I find with any game, you dive into it for a day straight it will zork your thoughts for the following day, I used to play sim city a lot and I ended up seeing different coloured zones with cars moving about everywhere I looked, same deal with populous.
Not played eve anywhere near enough for it to warp me yet, though last night i DID have an eve dream.
Right, I read COAD forum alot (I can fantasise about being in an epic fleet war right?), and I dreamt i was in a resturant with a PC, deleting the southern regions (Tenerefis is the only one i recall) when a man sat down next to me with a plate of noodles and said, somewhat inquisitively and in a nonchalant manner 'you're not... hacking... are you?', I think he was sir molle?! I said 'oh, no, no!' and I woke up...

I once opened the trunk of my car to load groceries and the image of the number of m3 it had flashed in my head.
I've signed work emails as /Al numerous times.
When driving I keep seeing cars with licence plates as MWD 321, EOS 651, WCS 392, PDU 112 and so on... And I have to say it out loud - "PowerDiagnostic Unit" and my family looks at me weirdly.

Did you know LCD screens could get burn in ? :o I didn't think that was possible, but sure enough, after several years, you can still see the outline of the left side bar (mail icons / char name box etc) in other programs / when booting etc :o . Took me a while to work out what it was, and that it wasn't a software graphics bug, but actual burn in :o ... Alot of hours without a screensaver it seems :o

Ive a lot of times I want to say ISK instead of Euro's.
I think English in my head (Im Dutch ffs).
I say lol/rofl/ffs/n00b/wtf/omfgwtf what have they done ****loads of time IRL (seriously).
When you wake up at 06:00 for work the first thing in your mind is how to fit a ship.
When you actually think all the time about EvE when lonely-ish (while cycling, at work, school...).
When you walk trough the supermarket while your kind neighbour starts talking to you but you only notice that when he calls your name on the otherside of the shop.
And with Delta Force BHD what I used to play a lot I had the weirdest thing. I had been playing all day and went in the evening out to get some food haulage done. Anyway, when I arrive at the snackbar I see a guy walking across the street. My brains started to flip as I couldnt shoot him and I was still alive as well. After about 1~2 minutes I stopped staring and couldnt remember I cycled all the way there in the first place...

You think of any sort of rl upgrade as an upgrade to T2 or faction items. For example, you aren't moving into a better apartment, you're moving into a faction apartment that probably costs like faction too. A new version of iPod coming out is automatically a T2 version to you.
Someone behaves in a very annoying/aggressive manner on the road and you wish your car had some turrets or launchers mounted to blow the crap out of him and Sig Analysis V to pod him in addition.
You think of your job that you do not like as a complex and of your boss as an Overseer in it.
You start referring to money as "real life iskies" and when you say that you think other people know what you're talking about.
At times you wish you had an intelligence, memory, or will power implant plugged in. Sometimes when you're in a hurry you wish for an entire set of snakes.

- You have to wake way too early on the morning for the skill change, or that you cannot go to sleep because you have to kill few more ships.

a year back in fountain I scanned moons for a few days (10-12 systems with 50+ moons or sth) hell at night I even dreamed of driving arround and scanning things in my home city o_O..but as my mother asked me to help with some work at the garden I thought of how driving with the lawn-mower (we have a little tractor lawn-mower) arround without a cloaking device and how dangerous this could be....At that moment I decided to cut down a bit with eve ;)

I'm at work right now.. i wasted about 2 hours on forums yesterday and about a half hour in quickfit.. and a bit of time in evemon also. I also signed on with my ****y laptop that runs eve at 20fps max so I could get a good alt that I could make as a hauler in 2 hours of training time.. here's when you really know you play too much.. yesterday, I left work early to go play eve.. said I had to take my wife to a doctor's appt...

Dreaming about EVE.
Whenever I see a figure of 3-5 digits, I subconciously calculate which ship with which MWD would attain that speed.
Waking up early without the use of alarms because you knew you had a skill change that morning.
Whenever I play battlefield I occationally ask my mates to form a gang (it is called a squad in BF), aswell as when I throw EM grenades at stuff I refer to it as being "jammed".
I can type my account password faster than my own name.
This one I have yet to be guilty off: Knowing your API by heart.

I always play with sound. Today I fired up EVE after DT, go do a quick belt spin, everything seems fine. 'Warp drive active', locking sound, woosh, woosh woosh boom boom boom, back to station, 'docking request accepted'. Then I fire up winamp, wonder why I hear no music, only to find my boxes were not on the whole time...

- When your wife starts to call you with your EVE name
- When you log in just to change your skill, than stay just to drop line or two in corp chat, than undock "just" to help your corpmate and log off 2 hrs latter
- When you forget to change skill three times in a row, and you aren't upset about it
- When more than 10% of replies from this thread could be applied on you.

When you're so used to the acceleration rate of your Megathron that you constantly find yourself accelerating at a snails pace on the road.
Also when you're used to it's turn radius and can't master turning left cuz you always end up in the far lane...

When you drink beer out of a wooden mug from a renassance festival, but its been painted with the EVE logo on one side, and the Gallentee coat of arms on the other. My Dad made it for me after I asked him to get me a glass version for my birthday, but he didn't want to send glass in the mail.

Had to do brb to get some food, drove down the street got to the intersection and instead of seeing Red, Yellow, Green lights I saw Radio, Standard, and X-Ray crystals and wanted to do a show info as they were so much preetier and bigger than the crystals I was using.
Moral of the Story:
Don't Drink & Play Eve and then go get food. Food First.

The only experiance I've ever had like this was with EQII. In that game there were banks that you could put your stuff in and acess it anywhere in the world. Well, my wife and I were at a theme park, and put our things into a locker.
Long story short, we eventually wanted to go back to our bags but we were on the other side of the park, so I said to my wife that it was ok, we just had to go to another locker bin and our stuff would be in that one too.
The sad part is: I actually believed it for a second.

I was at work when I remarked to myself that I should get around to making the 0.0 list for that day. (normally 0 count or stocking error list)
I also use commonwealth profanity but that comes from 10 years of Warhammer not EVE
