adding my name to the list. - i've been losing connection to eve once or so a day (although not every day).
my net is still up and running, so i dont think its isp related
like some of the above posters:

yup just had it twice more (which nearly cost me a ship, again).
my isp is nildram, who are owned by pipex, who i think are owned by tiscali. so basically tiscali are really ****ing up their own portfolio with this.

for what it's worth: "This seems to be a ISP problem."
so no, their not doing anything. - you'd think theyd talk to the isp(s) and work it out between them, wouldn't you ?

i dont think its ISP related to be honest (well, nildram at least). here's one intresting trace.
trace taken 6:58pm uk time
its also attached to the petition i raised (unedited, sorry, lotta crazy people on the net), so i'll se what the GM say about it.

what what it's worth
-------------------email from isp----------- Hi xxxx Thank you for sending in the results for the traceroute Having looked at the pathpings you sent into us, it is evident that you are gettting packet loss, but this appears to be occuring from I.P 87.237.38.199 to 87.237.38.200. Clearly this is not on our network but between the two I.P addresses which do not belong to Nildram. Routing traffic is not relevant here as the issue lies with the I.P addresses in question, as this is where the packet loss appears to be occuring.
so its back with CCP. ... like playing frikking tennis.

i've passed the eclipse email you got to the senior engineer dealing with my complaint at nildram, see what they make of it (im pretty sure they use the same bandwidth management software/hardware).
