No they won't, but there is no disavantage to have the skills trained except maybe for skill sheet aesthetics.

Why would you lose skills? Because of the clone? But you can upgrade to a better clone that can hold more skill points so don't be afraid, and let me tell you that learning different races ship is a smart move .

I'd pay good ISK to remove skills that I've trained that destroy the flow of my skillsheet.
Seriously, lvl 1 Amarr frigates destroys my mind's feng shui.

No, but that's a bit like saying ''How do you know jumping off a bridge kills you, have you ever tried it?''
What's the use in removing a skill though? I mean, you've trained it, you might as well have it, since there's no advantage to deleting it?

And let me tell you, if you go around training every skill you find, your sheet will become ugly fast. The only solution is to find even more skills! _________________________________________________________

There is no such thing as training the "wrong" skills in EVE. You just trained them a bit early. :)

Edited by: Sheriff Jones on 30/08/2007 06:09:24 Any Amarr would love a chance to wipe out their memory of the past 4 years and just start over as a happy, drooling, new guy in space, with no knowledge of lasers or Amarr ships.
Then train lasers and Amarr ships again and silently go...d'oh?
So yeah, i have a problem with being serious, but it's the almost smallest problem i have. |

Technically, there is a disadvantage in some cases to training up a skill too high. It is a rare occurrence though. Anywho, ADD and perfectionism aside, there is usually no benefit to untraining a skill. Just pretend it doesn't exist. Like whenever I pilot a Dominix. I have to black out the middle of my screen or zoom out to pretend I'm not actually in a Dominix. Ugly poo-ship...

You know, this is insane. We hear lot of people coming to the forums complaining that it takes forever to get an answer to questions from the GMs. And my answer all the time have been, its not a big suprise, since so many people petition stupid things! Everything really between heaven and hearth, which ofcource takes up valuable time for the GMs. This post of yours - asking GMs to remove skills you dont "feel for having" in your skill list proves what I have been saying a long time.
I seriously hope that you dont come to the forums one day complaining why it takes "ages" to get an answer from the GMs...

Why ? I`d love to lose theremodynamics, only ever overheat stuff by accident anyway Rapid Firing might be another one, but just for laser users, can`t think of anything else.

tbh losing skills could be good sometime, for example if you trained Afterburner high and only want to use it to get slow boats into warp faster then you'd want a lower ab level since each level increases the duration.
Help me help you. |

Must admit, there is some skills i'd like to remove that i put on when i first started becasue i didn't understand which direction i was going etc
50+ Capitals well fitted = 150 Billion Day's of prep and planning = 3 Hours of hellish lag Look on coalition faces when they realize their fleet evaporated for............nothing = Priceless |

Not a valid example; the afterburner shuts off when you go to warp. Also, it adds mass, causing your ship to accelerate more slowly, and when you turn it on the increase in max speed means it takes you longer to reach 75% of top speed and go to warp.
The reduction per Interdictors skill level on the duration of warp disrupt probes is a better example, because it means you get through more of them if you just want to keep one spot locked down.
P.S. The GMs will add skillpoints under certain circumstances; if you had to train the same level twice without being podded, for example.
