An enemy corp member attacks you, if the fight doesn't go his way he can stop attacking you for 30 seconds and dock.
What is this carebear crap? If I wanted to play a carebear game I'd go play world of warcraft. If you attack a player no matter there should be at least a 5 minute timer that prevents you from docking.
I thought EVE was for stronger players but I guess I was wrong. Corp Wars are a carebears paradise. "Oh i'm taking too much damage i'll just dock".
Psh...
I've been playing for like 30 days and I DEMAND that the timer be increased to at least 5 minutes.
I hate carebears.

Everyone will do it. Everyone actually do it. It's becoming quite common to see Corps wardeccing here and there and then, spending most of the time at dock range with a heavily tanked ship, waiting to pick on a weak target, pop it, and dock back if someone else steps in. And it's becoming common, sadly i'd say, even from so called "pirates" and/or "mercenaries".
While I generally agree on the "adapt or die" rule, and i know that a suitable firepower would give no time for docking back to almost any ship, it must be said how the several "hp increases" given to ships made the "undock/dock" technique spread like a virus.
5 minutes of aggro timer would be definetly too much, but 30 seconds are really nothing for today's ships.

Especially since you can't lock them before they've docked again due to some lameass timer.
Docking really needs to be re-invented to weed out the fenceriders.

Then again, be careful what you say there. A pirate corp is not necessarily a pirate corp. I know a lot of people calling themselves pirates while they're actually more resembling one of these cute furry cuddlywuddlies you wanna hug at first sight and that you would have pity with and give them 15 isk for effort and leet spelling.

What needs to be fixed is not the mechanic of it. What needs to be fixed is how far away from the station is considered 0km. Some stations it is literally like 50km away from the station before your 1km away. Aint that the truth. I was running 3 accounts moving cargo through lowsec, with one of my other corpmates scouting with the fourth hauler (a Prorator) because of their expected rapid warp speed. The three I was moving were all T1 and slow, but with lots of mids I had loaded out with AB, web, damps.
Our scout jumps through a gate and finds an Absolution sitting on the other side with its sensor boosters running. He picks a station and hits the 'dock' button, but is almost instantly locked & scrammed.
So I jump through the 3 haulers, AB toward the abso that's trying to catch up to the MWD'ing Prorator, and get all of my ships to target him. The prorator leads him past the mammoth and he gets webbed & damped (but not scrammed). The other mammoth and badger II get locks and add more damp.
Now, mind... NONE of us had guns fitted... or scrams.
The absolution gives up on the prorator and makes a run for the station...
We continue on our way safely and I wiped my seat. I had 2 large POS towers & fuel in those three slow boats.

The thing about these "tubetankers" is that they sometimes bleat about blobs when you show up with enough force to kill them in thirty seconds

The best thing I've ever seen was a Privateer trying to undock from a station so he could Armor Repair his ship.
Now, this station had a few people he was at war with outside, and so his attempts we're getting to be rather counter-productive.
So what does he do?
He dropped his corp so he could safely undock and repair.

what would happen if we made the undocking ports give ships a slight "boost" by default? i dunno, catapult em out for 5km or so. with, you know... force...
imho that would solve the undock bowling at crowded stations (yea, i LUV it, when people need to go afk there...) and make station games a lil more... impractical, as you actually could get webbed.

If the victim hasn't aggressed there is no reason why he/she should get an aggression timer or a time docking penalty. If you don't like shooting at station huggers then war dec a PVP corp.

who really is the carebear? really now? EVE has many mechanics and EVERYONE uses them to their own advantage. Whether jumping into a gatecamp and deciding to mwd back to the gate (or try) to jump knowing you will be scrammed if u try to warp or bumping targets away from gates or stations to prevent them from doing just that. Complaining that you cannot use game mechanics as they are (and not exploits) calling others 'carebears' is laughable at best. Quit complaining... if he docks, use different tactics, dont blob him at a station knowing he has the option of docking.. and if you bring a fleet of ships and cant kill him before 30 seconds bring a bigger fleet or dont even try, cuz u will just complain.
So you go back to WoW. EVE is hardcore, but its also a thinking mans game.. so..... think

Either trick them onto a gate and catch them on the jump-in or bring enough heat to take them out before their timer runs out.
And the timer for docking after aggression is one minute, not 30 seconds. If you're looking for solo fights, you won't find them at stations, so get clever. __________

I agree, if you are fighting someone outside the station and they realize they are going to lose to you and they stop firing and dock that is bull****. This game is full of holes that let cowards fight and get away when they want to with no commitment to a fight. It is pathetic and cowards who try to fight you then decide they are losing and dock should not be able to do so. Of course, the carebears who employ this tactic will disagree, but shouldn't they be out mining?

What if the target picks you and realizes he has a chance of losing? When it comes to pvping it should be full fledged pvp, not pvp with the carebear backdoor open incase you think your gonna lose. Why does everyone dismiss everything as a pointless whine? I guess I should dismiss you as a pointless carebear then. Well I guess some carebears aren't pointless, I like the ones that make me ships.

Agreed, just make it 2-3 km, or they'd only have to cross 500 meter to dock again, you can do that in almost everything, even double webbed, 'cause the lock/web effect isn't instant

Surely a strong enough firepower would make the whole topic meaningless. But there are many entities in EVE that do not have (and probably dont want to have) the numbers of huge corps or alliances. With "normal" numbers, i am pretty sure you would agree that a Tier 3 BS, properly fitted and eventually rigged, cannot be popped within 30 seconds.
No whining intended, of course. But i wonder how funny could be undocking/getting shot at/docking back for a couple of hours.

Only if they also add the ability to see WHO and WHAT is outside before you undock.
I think it's ludicrous to put in something as you describe above and expect people to "undock in the blind."
Would there not be viewports or status displays in the station where you could see what was outside?
Add an option to get the "local vicinity" picture - the same thing you see when you undock - and then I would concur with your recommendation. Because then the person undocking would be able to make an informed decision about the external environment.
But, putting in any kind of "you can't redock" option only empowers griefers and station campers.

Leave the re-docking timers, and undocking in general, alone.
If you're at war with someone and you can't be bothered to fight them in any places other then stations, that's your fault and your problem.
If someone else wardecs you and only fights at stations, laugh at them and make a bookmark 250km from the entrance of the station (in the direction you face when you undock) and warp to it every time you undock, it will either force them to fight off the station or will keep you safe from them.
Really, it drives me nuts when pvpers complain about things like this. You're going to have to get over the fact that some people don't want to pvp. The game was not made to get you kills, and there are sooo many different ways to kill people in eve that the ones you don't kill due to station hugging really shouldn't matter all that much. CCP doesn't need to deal with people docking, you just need to be a little more creative in order to get your kills
